I agree with the "ignore and you will be loved" comment, lol! I was in a Starbuck's I frequent in BKK, with my TGF, and after we were served, my TGF mentioned that the waitress was doing "pawk wahn" (sweet mouth) with me. I hadn't really noticed, but I usually frequent that one alone.
She was right, as the girl made a play for me in Tesco Lotus a week later, when we bumped into each other with shopping carts, lol! She was really excited to see me, but that smile turned to terror when my TGF rounded the aisle to put some things in the cart. You coulda heard a pin drop, ha! I was ready to shit myself laughing, but decided to show the good manner. So I broke the stunned silence and said, with my best phony smile, "Honeyja, you remember this lady from Starbucks?! Wow, what a coincidence, let me introduce you two again!"
That extricated the poor Starbucks girl from the situation and she lost no time in disappearing into the stacks. My TGF gave me that, "Nice try!" smirk. When I visited the Starbucks alone later that week, the poor girl saw me coming and hid in the back. Too much loss of face I guess. Looks like she had been nurturing a fantasy for a while, and the reality check was too hard to stomach.
Oh well, woulda been a great gik, if only I'd opened my eyes a bit sooner...
