Was a bartender (very naive) when a sudent in mid 80s and served a local pugilistic hero (who'd just gone the distance in US with Don 'the Cobra' Curry for the welterweight world title) who asked for a round of beers and a Bloody Mary.
I had no training and only knew straight drinks or followed the menu when on the cocktail bar, so I wasn't sure...er tomato juice, Worcester sauce and er....The other useless gits couldn't help or wouldn't, so I served him BMs sans voBKa allnight until he told me about midnight to put a double in it.
I think I dispelled the illusion of proficiency when I asked local legend, 'Double what?' He fixed me with a look that only dead man before me had ever seen I imagine. At least he took it calmly. Thank you Colin Jones.

The great BK Lillee took those figures against those hapless, hopeless Poms at the true home of cricket, the MCG.
That match also saw a young Test debutant smack Tony Grieg for 5 successive boundaries in one (in those days) 8 ball over.
What a joy it was and admission was only $2 for adults - although I was only just a kid.
Bob Willis also broke Rick McKosker's jaw.
