I married the mama san no sin sot no asking for money.
The family never ask me direct but they go through her
and I give her tips to give or not. She is creative with the housekeeping money I give.
Basically it comes down to mom and pop ok everyone else unless children f*** off and work for a living, shes learning. But with mom and dad its a thai thing she must and she is the millionaire in the family because she marry falang.
Shes from bangkok which is handy I never went up country the most countryside I saw was pattaya.
I just booked a month next year but my son who is 11 hates thailand nothing to do no freedom like in the west, of course wrong age why would he be interested at that age.
For the record we have been married for 11 yrs which is against the odds I know. She is a good cook and I have a few potential mia nois so I mix family life with pleasure.
Everyone should follow their destiny I thought I had everything covered but still some things I overlooked.
Although friends tried to talk me out of it I was determined and im glad I did. I have a great son out of it. If you are sure just be carefull for me I did not want to look back and think if only. Its timing also if you are ready at least now in a few years I can return to full time mongering and not have to be on my death bed and think that was all I did in life.At least I tried to be normal and fit in whatever that is but societys feminist
view of marriage is not for me. So I just signed something no ceremony no vows as I dont believe
you can stay with one person all your life. My father has been married to my mother for 50 yrs his first and only girlfriend but its not for me makes me shiver to think about it.
Women come and go and can be exchanged or upgraded a bit like cars really but kids are forever.
He told me when he is 16 he does not want to go to thailand any more its ok then I can go alone.

He is half thai but does not speak ik.

All in all he realises his life or future would have been hell had he been bought up there and he is much happier in europe where we live.
Perhaps when he is older he will change his mind but at that age what is there for him there. Personally I like thailand for holidays but would not want to live there permenate, too many things
i dont like. Dont forget us farangs have more freedom but the thai are controlled from birth with buddah and family and rules.
Its only when you have a relationship with a normal women and find out she can only smoke and drink at home because of peer pressure that what we see in the bars is worlds apart to normal thai society.

It's his train wreck though and whatever you read or are told sometimes you just have to know whatever the consequence.
If he listens to the advice on the forum and takes precautions any damage can be limited.
There are many things in life that are risky like joining the army still people do it and come home in body bags.
Its got something to do with the adrenaline or risk and excitement. He is obviously on a high now let him enjoy it while it lasts. I could mention some of the down sides but I don't think there is enough bandwidth. On the other hand how many relationships work out longer than 10 years in the west with women from our own culture the figures are not that promising. From that perspective its his life and up to him really. Will we have front row seats to this train wreck though? or will he turn his back on the forum now he is in love.
Its good to discuss these issues now and then as some will get into these situations and good advice will help with harm reduction. Also the outcome how it goes could be useful for others. For DG and me its too late we already made a pact with the devil.
