My TGF was supposed to be heading to BKK to do her visa application last night. I tried calling her all night.. no answer..Actually, phone is busy all night (sometimes happens coz of no signal).
She finally sends me a message this morning, she's in hospital.. again..
Motorbike accident coming back from market, she says her "head broken and body jeab".
The point is.. I've told her never get on a bike without a helmet. She always used before.. But this time she didn't. I want to tell her "som nom na" But I won't for now.. I'll wait for later.
This makes me sick to my stomach..
Stupidity is such a turn off!!
I love the girl.. BUT NOW I"M pissed at her..

Hope the GF is doing ok. As a bike rider in BKK of over 10 yrs until recently, I share your views on the necessity of helmets. Problem here is, even when the Thais wear helmets, they rarely strap them on and the quality is comparable with a plastic bucket. If you haven't already, buy the GF a proper helmet and let's hope it doesn't happen again... an accident or no helmet. It will show you are serious.
What gets up my nose is seeing young kids as pillions or carried on bikes by parents. An adult makes a concious decision to wear or not wear a helmet at their own risks. These kids they carry have no choice and are virtually defenseless no matter how minor any accident.
Very scary, but I don't see anything changing any time soon.

Are you sure she was in an accident? Or was she out bangin' some other guy? I don't mean to piss on your cornflakes, but that is a good excuse for a Thai girl to use with her "sponsor." Also buys her some time to spend with the guy (hence the in the hospital bit) and hook him for some money as well.
Maybe not? Maybe she is telling the truth? But the odds of it are 50/50 in my opinion.

I am also a bit suspicous (by nature) and find it hard to trust. However, She is not a player, and I'm not a sponsor. We been together for a long time. She's been here before for 3 months etc. etc.. Besides, she lives in the back of beyond.
I'm still suspicious and continue to look for ANY tiny changes in behaviour or change in story.
I do think she is telling truth.. I may be stupid, but there ya go.. What choice do I have but believe at the moment. Next time I see her, I will look for the scars??
I would say the odd of her telling the truth are about 98-2. But that 2 percent??????????????

My once and former housekeeper was hired to take care of my house during my absence and take care of my daughter when we were here on vacation. This trip, my once and former housekeeper said she wanted to go home for the New Year. Now, I am in Thailand only 7-8 weeks per year and want her to do her job when I am here. The remaining weeks she can go home if she wants to. I told her she could not go and had a job to do here.
She then got a very convenient telephone call that her daughter had been involved in a motorcycle accident. She left saying she did not know when she would return. I told her not to bother returning and have heard no more from her. They lie when it is expedient for them to do so.

Why is better in the long run if I stay pissed off.
I reaaly don't think she's lying. She's the one pressuring (asking everyday since September) about me sending her the paperwork for Visa. She finally received it on Monday. She's more excited about coming here.. or maybe not anymore..Hmmmmmmmm. *scratches head in a sudden moment of realization*
Maybe she's bored with all my sh_t I've put her through..
I admitted only a few weeks ago (ina drunken stooper) that I just got done slapping a filippina around the bed for a few hours!.
Maybe.. It's OVER???
Will be an interesting few days brothers.. Will keep all posted!
