Gentlemen, Back in October I was spending a lot of quality time in Pattaya at my favorite BB and on there TV I would catch the occasional commercial for a movie. It had really radical battle scenes swords/spears and I think fighting on elephants in historical Thai fashion. it also had a wild thing where logs were dropping onto people. Looks really wild and I wanted to see it in a theater or buy the DVD or whatever. Of course it was all in Thai and I have no idea what it is called or how to go about seeing this or buying it. My BGF tried to help me buy it but I ended up buying some totally weird BS movie instead. sefinitely not the one I was after.
Anyone seen this advertisement? Got any idea??

Probably Suriyothai.....
Threads about the movie and the different DVD releases.
The adverts were probably for "The Legend Of Suriyothai" the version edited by Francis Ford Coppolla for the American market.

Actually...reading your post again...if it was a TV ad in October, it could have been for a TV series of a similar vein that was out. Don't know it's name I don't watch Tv much in Thailand.
The "LOS", I believe was in the cinema's in August ? September so I doubt would have had TV adverts in October.

According to Mangpong's website there is a new release of Suriyothai (number ?). It is the FCC version (whatever that may be).
So perhaps an ad for this version?

Nah, if it is what iIsaw... it was nothing related to Suriyothai... at least to the movie that we all know.
I also wondered when seeing that ad. It looked like a good cool movie.... or whatever it was.

I believe there was a TV series (like 6 x 2 hour shows (for example) ).....a grand production on the lines of Suriyothai....I believe this is what we are talking about.
The FCC DVD wasn't out until Christmas time....so doesn't tie in with October adverts.

Actually, the ad I saw was not in October, but more towards the end of November and in December. I thought it might have been the same one cyborg was talking about. Man! Now this seems even more confusing. Could there be three productions instead of two?

A six week series could cover a large proportion of October and November.
But then you knew that didn't you.
