Anyone here anything about a fire breaking out in a bar in nana on Monday night (29-03-04) ? apparently just before there was a punch up in Jules on soi4. The next morning another bar, Playskool, was completely gutted by fire, 50% of the girls moved to cowboy the other 50% relocated to another one of the owners bars in nana. Playskool set to re-open in 1 month.

I saw part of the fight at Jools. Big ugly looking farang about 45 or 50 years old, in shorts and with a motorcycle helmet on his hand was bleeding from an eyebrow outside Jools around... 6pm. The place was closed but he was outside shouting, then took his helmet and broke one of the glass panels and moved inside... where he kept arguing with 2 guys -one a huge USA-style-mega-fat guy.
I could bother to stay to see a stupid fight..... and I kept going. Many Thais were certainly being entertained.

Playskool burned?...can this be true, where will I waste my life now?
One member was with the owners Monday night/Tuesday morning, I'm sure if this was true he would have known when I chatted with him yesterday....
as for the fight...who gives a damn, hope they all died. Idiots.

I know it well. Big fat guy is probably Dave, he is the basis for 'Big Ron ' in Stephen Leather's book 'Private Dancer'. It's normally a pretty quiet place except for the occasional loud expat having a moan about something.
Fight in Jools ? Whatever next !

Yurune > a freind of mine told me about playskool, he to is very chummy with the owner, Peter I think, it was in fact the owner that sent my freind an SMS to let him know about the closure and girl movements, he got that Tuesday around 10am ?!?!

So let me get this straight; Playskool went up in flames and the naughty boys corner is being curtailed in Afterskool. I guess I am going to have to agree that the Thai education system is going downhill.

I will check later in the afternoon and will let you know. What is not correct about the story is that the mentioned owner does not own more bars on Nana. He has some shares in other places but is not an owner as such. It was me who was with his wife at the time this should have happened. If you knew her you should know that she is not the type of lady who has a few friendly drinks while another business venue is being torched down.
If correct...... what was the cause.......?
(And I just received my VIP card!! sh_t happens.)
