Hi Bro's, My best friend and I are arriving in a few weeks for our first trip. We both run martial arts schools in the NY area, and wonder if good quality Chinese weapons are available for sale in BKK. In the States from coast to coast you basically get products from the same 3 or 4 mainland Chinese export manufacturers, which are of poor quality. Some decent swords are available through mail order to Taiwan - I have one - but buying a sword without trying it is suboptimal. Are there good martial arts stores in BKK with better quality Chinese weapons? One more question - besides going to Muay Thai fights, is there a way to visit and watch Thai boxers training? Thanks and cheers, Luke

If you are able to make friends with local boxers, you may also get the possibility to work out with them... shark68

Luke You might try this place if you want to watch, or work out. It's upscale, but pretty good. http://fairtexbkk.com/ You also might want to try this place, but bring a translator if you don't speak Thai. I haven't been to this one myself, but it was recommended to me by a friend. Pudthaisawan Sword Fighting Institute 5/1 Thanon Petcha Kasem, Nongkaem, Thonburi (phone 0 2421 1906)
