Guys I just back from my Poi Pet visa run.Few comments, cause it's fresh now and I'm not lazy..
First of all I think I invented new law, not less important than Murphy's laws. The case: is no rain till your car get 5 KM before the border, then you will get f***ing wet, walking through the immigration etc., BUT 5 KM to BKK direction when you back and rain is stopping. It's second time that it happens to me, so it will be called POI PET LAW #1.

I made my visa run to Poi Pet, 3 hours for one way, 3 hours back. Nothing special. The South trip is panned for Songkran.

I was in Poiu Pet last month.
Went for a session of roulette.
So there I am making money. about Bht 7,000 up in an hour then some old Thai fella sits next to me and starts dispensing advice. "Put your money on number ten, it lucky".
After being totally ignored for a while this character decided to start moving my chips after I've placed my bet.
"Why don't you play with your own f***ing money?" I ask.
" My money all lose" is the answer.

Thais have no discipline. I seldom bet more than Bht 100 at a time and if I lose as much as Bht 500 I walk away.
Over the past year I'm up around Bht 10,000, which has taken ages but been fun.
I don't see much fun in throwing Bht 1,000's at the table and walking away broke. Suppose in some werd Thai way it makes 'em look big.... until the mobile phone has to be hocked.
Just as well, there have to be losers otherwise there wouldn't be anything for me.

100 per game sounds like undangerous...same as my "****" games, that illegal as well in our great country. Maybe will go and lose some 500 baht next time in Poi Pet, just to see how's looks. Another reason is to find rich Thai GF, I was told by all my friends I need it urgently instead of working every day for 10 hours in office. Have you seen any there?
