I've just been flicking through some old threads as I haven't been on here for some time and came across the subject of underage girls and boys being abused in Chaweng and Lamai. I read the book about the Australian drug smuggler, Warren Fellows, who was sent to Bang Kwang and saw how horrific the place was and how harshly drug related criminals were dealt with in Thailand compared to Britain. Are paedophiles treated in the same way. British brothers will be aware of Paul Gadd (Gary Glitter), who has abused kids in Cuba and Cambodia without any worries. Is Thailand similarly lenient on these 'people' or do they go to Bang Kwang too?

It appears 'Gary Glitter' has left the building and got himself banned not so long ago.
From what I recall in other threads (UTFSE) Thailand is pretty harsh on people that sleep with underage kids - though actual abuse was never mentioned (for some reason the law distinguishes between the two)

I'm not sure Gary Glitter 'abused kids in Cuba and Cambodia without any worries'. That's a big claim for a number of reasons:
1) He was jailed in England for being caught with kiddie pics on his pc.
2) There's no evidence of him being actively involved in anything more than that, either in England, Cuba or Cambodia.
I believe that after he got released from prison, he went to live in Cuba for a while, and is now living in Cambodia, although the Cambo government is not especially welcoming him, despite his millions.
A sad and pathetic story I have to say. But not exactly a guy 'without worries'.

Look at the one legged German guy up in Chayaphum. He had AIDS (or HIV) and was having unprotected sex with underage school girls, hundreds of them, and infecting them with AIDS (or HIV). When he was arrested they only got him for the visa overstay, I think it was 80 something days before he was sent back to Germany. Then he came right back as he wasn't on the immigration blacklist.

There was a 24 yr old Brit who was coming to Thailand and abusing young boys and putting pics of him having sex with them on the internet.
Greater Manchester Police tracked him down and tipped off the Thai authorities who locked him up at Don Muang. GMP wanted to have him deported back to the UK but the Thais told them where to go. He was given 63 years inside, but this was reduced to 42 because he gave evidence beneficial to the trial.
Apparently this was one of the longest sentences handed out to a foreigner for this type of crime.
When he was sentenced the muppett hurled abuse at the judge and got an extra 2 months.
I dread to think how long a UK court would have given him. 5 to 10 years probably with parole for good behaviour.

Seems Boxhead gets all his daily current events and up to the minute news from 'other threads'.
Do you know how many underage girls there are in Thai back street brothels Boxhead? All authorities turning a blind eye for a few baht and perhaps a free taste test.

If you have such an infatuation with Mr Glitter, I presume you yourself are harbouring such deep and disgusting thoughts as he. I guess you can now fall into another group apart from the fat and balding loner.

It's something that makes you angry, and makes you want to take action, but also makes you realise how little you can do and how helpless you are to change things. I guess all we can do is keep telling our friends and families to keep coming to LOS and spending their money there.
