Writing this, I'm kind of in a surprised kind of mood. I just walked up Karl Johan in Oslo towards my flat, home from a party. Strangly enough, I have not walked this street night-time for some months now...
But never before have this happened to me in Norway:
3 times I were aproached by some young black girl saying: You want some good time, 5000-6000 baht???? (converted from NOK) Come with me to my flat...
I turned all offers down..
But my point is this: I pay for IT in Thailand, but when home it is kind of out of the question... It does'nt even turn me on....

I'd never do p4p in the U.S., frankly most American women just aren't worth the time or money. It makes me laugh that someone would cough up $600 an hour or whatever price at one of those Las Vegas brothels so that they can have the privilege to f*** some used up funbag with bad skin and caked makeup.

i live in amsterdam I used to go to the red light, after you learn whats available in los its a poor alternative.

A reasonable experience but way to expensive to repeat except occasionally. Cheaper options are way too seedy for me.
DXB, where I work may not be Thailand but for my hour in London I can get two LT's here and with the right girl that can include a home cooked meal, out for a few drinks and all night. And the crux - GFE. It's business but you can suspend your disbelief for an evening. This is not the case in London.
The other issue that reduces te appeal of P4P for me at home is how you pick your girl, often take it or leave it as in Golden Star's experience or at best from a photograph as in my case. No chance to see if you have some connection and assess that all important attitude.

Have never done P4P outside of Thailand. Apart from the cost, my main concern is asian women being imported into Australia and forced into sexual slavery after thinking they were coming for legitimate jobs. I don't have the experience or knowledge to identify these and prefer to just bide my time until my next LOS trip. I'm kind of lucky in that I get to LOS half a dozen times a year, almost of it at my employers expense.

Years ago I had a look at it once or twice. From what I remember I would tend to say that the major drawbacks are:
- they give you sort of 20 or 30 mins only
- they do not shower at all
- the rooms are that much rotten and worn down, its simply disgusting
- a closed deal is never a closed deal: After agreeing on a price they will not stick to the agreed deal and demand more (you pay in advance I think)
- the service providers (no, I dont want to name these persons ladies or even girls because they are not!) are mostly old (35 and above) and ugly
But above all its the prevalent attitude. No need to comment that any further.
For me its completely out of the question, I am not even curious any more when passing by a brothel or some establishment.
