DNA tests came back -- not even close.
He won't be charged, I assume, he's free to go (just not to come back to Thailand - ever, or for 30 days, whichever comes first.
...and in related news, they discovered that water is wet, and that grass is green.
Yeah, that came as a surprise - NOT!

DNA results sure were an interesting turn of events. Some here speculated all along that he played up his guilt whilst incarcerated in Thailand as a get out of jail card.
Which begs the question: What was the offense that landed him in a Thai jail in the first place? Was that ever revealed?

He commited no offence in Thailand.
He was encarcerated on the say so of the americans.
The quote he made "The DNA will not match, but you cannot trust the test" was a give away to the fact that.... the DNA was not going to match.... essentially a sad twat, not a criminal offence in Thailand... I saw quite a few of them yesterday.

This begs the question, of course, what about all the media circus about the terrible reputation of Thailand as a haven for pedophile teachers, which now is very much in question - not only that, but considering that Karr previously went, as a pedophile teacher, through the USA, Honduras, Korea, and several european countries -- and was unscathed. Yet, he gets arrested in Thailand (apparently the only country that takes arresting a 'pedophile teacher' seriously), and Thailand gets condemned for it. WTF?
(I know he didn't commit any crime in Thailand, and there's no evidence of pedophilia in his arrest in Thailand, I was just making the point that if he was such a 'bad pedophile' how come none of the countries that did NOT arrest him get fingers pointed at them..?)

Either way, it seems that however and whatever, he would appear to have the last laugh - he gets flown, first class, back to the states, can most likely score a book deal and talk show sob-n-cry stories out of it, and thumb his nose at the system.
Oh well. 15 minutes of fame. Who's next.

Well the Thai's paraded him around like another famous guy that they captured such as the previous terrorist. They ended up with big egg on their face and were the losers in the PR thanks to Fox News.
I think it is karma that they always try to blame the Americans for starting up their P4P when in fact it has been going on for ages with the Thai's themselves.
Looks like tough times for English teachers ahead.

I think he made life miserable for me, dude.
You see, my employer decided not to renew my annual contract after 8 years, so I began receiving unemployment compensation from the state.
But, having worked for an airline, I'm entitled to free transportation for one more year, so I figured I'd make a trip to Thailand, between jobs, because when I get a new job, it might be another year before I get vacation time.
When I returned from Thailand, I opened my mail to find that I was suddenly ineligible for unemployment because I failed to post my resume on some govt. website, but I could file a dispute.
So I did, and part of my reason was that I was out of the country, looking for work.
Next step was a telephone interview with a woman of ethnicity (that's the nicest way I know how to say it;) ). This was all of about 2 days after all of this Karr news, and I got the impression from her tone that she was highly predudicial about why I was in Thailand.
Maybe I'm just paranoid, and I don't know the result yet, but I'm not optimistic.
I worked 13 consecutive years, I need to work, and now they decide to f*** with me?
It's like I just won the bad luck lottery. LOL

What unfold? The Boulder DA pretty much just kicked him out, and now he's heading to CA, where he is now last week's news.
