If its prescription drugs you must have a prescription or
something with your name on the packaging, this should be enough. I never had my bags touched going into los so just put them in your bag and forget about it.Anything not on prescription like dick hardener I put in with the vitamines.

I carry an accurate, up-to-date list of my prescriptions, and a diagnosis for each, on my clinic's letterhead, with my doctor's signature.
No one has ever asked for it.
One comment about 'dick-hardeners': they are a 'schedule' drug, and expose you to serious risk of prosecution/shakedown if you are caught with them and without a prescription or letter. I have heard that there is a scam at Ekamai, where cops look for (older) guys who might need 'hardening', and shake them down if they find such drugs without prescription.
Be careful out there.

all bottles have my name on them, so I assume that should be enough from what I read here.
i don't know what you guys mean by 'bring prescriptions'. I turn in the prescriptions at the pharmacy to get my medications. did you guys mean that I make a copy of those prescription?
sorry for dumb questions, but better to be safe then be sorry in this area especially for a non business trip.

I have had to carry syringes on flights I got a letter from the dispensing chemist because they can't go in the hold and freeze as that kills the meds. Going into Thai no pom pem leaving I had to show security the packages. I also got the letter translated into Thai. As long as you have some letter you should be ok as long as they are legal?

This is bull its not illegal to have dick hardener on your person for personal use. Its illegal to sell it to you so all the people up and down sukomvit including
the guy selling rolex are breaking the law.
If they catch you at the airport its a different matter, they will be confiscated, thats why I put them in with the vitamines.

As for me, I KNOW those medicines are controlled substances, and prefer NOT to put myself at the mercy of the BiB, given their current voracious consumption of 'tea'.

Its bull BIB trying to bust anyone for a couple of pills at Ekemai bus station. But the possibility still exists to get f***ed over by them, im not naieve.
All im saying is its not illegal to posses even they might wanna shit you into thinking so. It is illegal to sell it, and there lies the grey area if you get picked up at Ekemai bus station with a dealers amount.
This is probably what happened, but it makes a comedy out of the fact all and sundry are selling the stuff openly up and down sukomvit. You can get them on prescription as well.

As an example of the difference between the many drugs sold over-the-counter in every pharmacy in Thailand, which require a prescription in the US, and the gamut of dick-hardeners, I direct your attention to the fact that dick-hardeners ARE NOT on display in the pharmacies, but usually kept in the pockets of the 'pharmacists' in the shops, to be produced ONLY when a likely-looking farang asks. Just like DVDs of the latest film releases are sold openly along Sukhumvit, so are little blue pills sold by the usual touts. Who knows what forces are at work, keeping those guys from being pinched? But, possessing the stuff, even for personal use, is illegal without a prescription. Possessing Lipitor for your cholesterol is not.
Given an opening for serious tea money, some members of the MiB will take it. Others, I gather the ones at Ekamai, have raised it to high art.
