Lines of Tuk-tuks not being used.
What are your on the ground experiences?
Is it really that quiet ?

Yes, quiet everywhere (I know this is not night life area but it's an indicator also) Bars not busy, MIB closing them early (which is really the legal time). Malls are not busy as normal, went to the movies at esplanade and it was about 30 people in the theatre for the 1845 time movie.

Bamboo bar is doing some promotions to try to attract more cutomers...order 10 sisha and get one free...order 4000 baht of food and pay "only" 100 dollars...the place is much more empty than usual...
Still yesterday I went there at mid-day and order a sandwich and ice tea....waited 40mn and still nothing coming (not even the tea, and all waitress hidding...) so I left whitout paying...
I see more and more unusual promotions in BKK also...

I feel that if I have to beg and offer to pay an extra "tip" just to get a simple drink to take less than 1 hour to come to my table, then really this place is not worthy of my money, this not only in Thailand but anywhere...
