I've checked the Brit Embassy website but can't seem to find what i'm looking for.
I have a Thai wife (not married in the legal sense though), we have 2 daughters, 6 and 2, I am named on the birth certificates.
Can I get a Brit passport for the kids ? or have I left it too late ? Is there an agency that I can use ?
Appreciate your thoughts.

My son has british, dutch and thai passports.
I got his british one in 2000 I signed something in bkk a
marriage certificate to make it sure but I think its not needed. Check the link from Romeland seems to explain all you need, fill out the form etc.
Mothers are automatic. fathers not, they have to be satisfied etc.
There was a passport and citizenship as I recal the later being if he would need to go to school in the uk as I was told back then.
As that is not the case I did not do that, just wanted him to have a european passport.

Cheers for the ideas guys. I've got the forms now. Still no answer on obtaining for a child when not legally married, i'm going to call the embassy tommorrow and hopefully get some idea.
The only reason we've held off marriage for so long is to get a better deal with the mortgage on the house, if married legally then the Thai banks deposit payment can get up to 50%, remain unmarried but been together for a long time and it can be had for as little as 5%.
Anyway, hopefully I can provide enough supporting docs to the embassy to help them make the right decision.

As a quick follow up, the Brit Embassy have been amazing in helping with info, i'm going through the motions right now. I'd like to say, rather than do what I did (listen to every wannabe knowitall farrang tell me the Brit embassy is a nightmare) just contact them if you want info, they really are very helpful.
