Can you play online poker in Thailand? I am bringing my laptop with me and wondering if I use an internet connection will I be able to get online for poker? Or are the sites banned and you have to do some fancy rerouting?

I have no problems with Party Poker, UltimateBet Poker, Full Tilt Poker, and Sportsbook Poker....
If you want to play real money, I would suggest you install the software, go thru verification, and deposit the money for the first time at home.

As I understand it gambling websites were blocked when Mr T was in power. The current lot have lifted the blocks.
Even when they were blocked you could still access the sites by using remote access to a computer in your home country, so that to the Thai authorities it appears you are using your computer in your home country although you are actually sitting at your laptop at some bar in the land of smiles.
Gambling remains illegal in Thailand.

If you want to play a free tournament that for region specific like for US players only (althought you are registered as US player), you can not play from here...guess the site see your IP address from Thai and not from US. Other than that, I have no problem play free games, real money games, or other free tournament games.

Just reposting looking for a little help. I've never played online before and am in Thailand on a tourist visa. I have an apartment and a kasikorn account. Is that enough to play online? and if so, which sites should I try? Any help would be greatly appreciated-either on the forum or via pm.
How about depositing money on the sites and getting money from thai banks from the sites? Is it easy or a pain? Does it take long?
