The subject of smell comes up often. I tend to have less BO than many farangs, but still can get gamy given the heat/humidity in Thailand and my liking to walk a lot. I often give myself a sniff test.. just to be sure I am OK. Sometimes I find a bit gamy and it is shower time. You cannot take too many showers (plus a good way to cool down). My g/f has commented sometimes in the evening even after I have taken a shower a couple of hours before.. I have done the sniff test at that time and can't smell a thing except my deodorant, but the desire for pussy gets me back into the shower again A couple of things that I have found help. One use a good soap and don't bother with the antibacterial soaps.. Get a soap that has a strong smell, preferably more flowery than "pinesol". I always bring my own, don't rely on hotel soaps. Good soap is also liked by the girls that come to your room. Good soaps seem expensive ($5 a bar for f_cking soap!!!), but how many bars you gonna use??? Another thing I found was using women's deodorant. By mistake I once packed "Secret" which was my US girlfriends brand. In the bars I got quite a few "hom dee" (smell good as they nuzzled my armpit) and since then I have used women's deodorant. They are about the same cost and I buy at Costco. Also, in the USA I can get by with one swipe. In Thialand I do a solid covering of the area. Also be wary of alergies. I have found that one brand makes me itch like crazy and my armpit get red and bumpy.. no fun, so try the new brand at home. Deodorants are available cheaply in Thailand too.. Watson's, Boots and of course Carrefour and TEsco all sell them. One thing I have found is that not all deodorants work the same for me. This last trip I took a new brand and noted that within a few hours it was failing. I will not buy this brand again. I have found that the 'gels' don't seem to last as long for me as the 'solids'. Don't underestimate this in your pussy pursuit. The girls are sensitive to this and smelling good makes a difference to them and should to you. If you have ever walked down the street and passed a German who does not believe in personal hygiene then you will get an idea on how you might smell to a Thai girl. This last trip I went into the dry heat (sauna) room at the Ambassador and left in about 10 seconds as there were two guys in there that reeked. I didn't look closely, but either Indian or Middle Easterners from a quick glance. I could see how a Thai girl would not want to be close to them. I think one problem is that if the culture accepts it then you get used to the smell and don't really notice it.Similar to eating Durian. First time you smell it, usually the feeling is "yuck", but after a while it starts to smell kind of good and you accept it.

Thanks for all the info on deodarant lol. Well I am not sure I agree with not taking care hiegine has anything to do with culture. It comes down to how educated each person is about taking care the personal hiegine. I have tons of Indian/middle eastern friend and I frankly tell them if they smell and recomended them what they sould do about it. I understand is kind a hard to stop sweating in LOS becuase of tropical weather and heat but one thing worked me is Irish Spring ( i buy them from costco too ) and power deodarant instead of spray on. Also degree works well in hot weather and you can get away for few hours before hitting a another shower.

Sup': And if for some reason you do smell a little 'gamey', do NOT try to cover it up with ton of cologne!!! Been in a couple bars where my eyes were watering and it was not from the ladies, but the "vapor" trail some guys left while walking by!!

I SOOOOOO agree with ABC on the "not covering the sweaty smell up with cologne/aftershave" thing! That's a definite NO-NO. My s.o uses my deoderant when we are in warmer climates. (Nivea Creme 24+, cost about $4 a small tube) It's a cream deoderant that have to actually rub in with your fingertips, it really penetrates into the pores... I find it the best... plus it doesn't have a womany perfume. It's quite neutral. Also cos of it's neutral fragrance you don't get that conflict of interest thing going on between your deoderant and your aftershave. I find too many men invest in a really good subtle expensive aftershave - only to find out their cheap deoderant is more overpowering than the expensive cologne. Waste of money plus it defeats the purpose of the cologne. (BTW, women are guilty of this too... not just men.) Another thing is they have these nifty little deo-wipes available now for when you're out and about. They're like baby-bum-wipes only.... well for your underarms. There tiny, individually packed, they get rid of the obnoxious odors and leave a layer of deo behind. Very handy when a shower/change of clothes just isn't an option. Having said all that.... I don't actually mind the smell of FRESH sweat on a man.... something about it..... something... nice.

X: You hit the nail on the head with the hammer. NEUTRAL smell is the best. And when in doubt, go with natural afterwards. I agree 100% that many men and females wear either contrasting perfumes/colognes and deoderants. Plus, factor in that some also use scented soaps. Makes them a walking buffet of smells!! ha ha ha ha!!! I personally wear a non-smelling deoderant, with a light smelling cologne. Okay. I think it's light smelling and no one has complained yet!! ha ha ha ha!!

I sweat like a pig so Thailand is a two or three shower a day place. I also put fresh clothes on before I head out for the evening. I also carry a small bottle of listerine and use that during the evening. Only twenty one days untill show time. See you guys soon!!

Oaktoad, You described 'body odor' as "Similar to eating Durian.First time you smell it,usually the feeling is "yuck", but after a while it starts to smell kind of good and you accept it" Mistress X / nokna, The same goes for eating pussies. The first time you try to 'eat' / lick them the 'smell' tends to put you off but after licking them you kind of get used to the smell and you accept it. right ?
