In the 1980's and nineties before I discovered LOS
I used to visit Ibiza. A beach there called Las Salinas
had a load of dolly birds(unfortunately load of blokes as well) nude sunbathing.
Is there anywhere in Thailand like this ??

Although I've seen nude sunbathing in LOS (Phuket). My understanding this is culturally offending to the Thais. The Thais are very modest people, I know the apparent cotradictions (P4P, BG scene). The "Lonely Planet Thailand" discourages it's readers from this practice while in Thailand.
It's a loose loose situation when comparing fat men in speedos verses fat nude men! 5555!

Only nude or topless sunbathing I have seen in LOS has been farang.
I have never seen ANY form of sunbathing by Asians. They wanna be white and will even swim in Tee shirts.

LOL. Had one TGF who got a tan on the beach, threw hysterics and never forgave me. All my fault, of course.
You see quite a lot of farang women sunbathing topless on Phuket and Samui. I think this just about passes muster in recognised farang resort areas. Nude sunbathing seems to be a no-no everywhere in LOS (get yourself landed on a uninhabited island for the day if you must).
I agree it's a great shame that Thai taboos do not include middle-aged men in speedos. There needs to be an international agreement to outlaw this obscenity.

Middle-aged men in speedos I can just about stomach... however OLD men in g-strings I really draw the line at! I have never seen so many wrinkly asses in thongs as I did in Goa (India). Enough to curdle my pineapple juice!
re the topless nude thing in LOS... hmmm, my country folk just can't seem to keep a bikini tops on in Phucket, personally I think it's a question of respect and the bikini top stays on. I notice topless sunbathing really does embarass people.

During my last trip my tilac spotted some topless falang ladies just outside Ruam Thep on Karon beach. She was offended by this and asked me why they are doing this. I replied because some falang do not like tanned bodies with white boobies. She thought all this was strange and BTW stayed in the shade almost all the time. In fear to change her colour too much...
