I hope and think you're wrong about LOS becomes a Singapore.
But to wide'en our trips elsewhere is always good.
The topic is maybe out of place in here, but anyway here it goes.
I can contribute with Europe and I tell U it all suck's, Barcelona, Valencia, Nice, Copenhagen is all the same. ST's is around 100-200Ä and longtime is the sky.
East-Europe is a bit better, Hungary, Praque, Bucarest around 50-100Ä ST.
And then we have the Baltic states, about the same as east-europe but colder is both attitude and climate..
Safety difference alot comparing to Thailand, U generally don't go around like a drunken monkey in europe. That's a big downsize for me anyway.
I don't now shit about Southamerica, how Venezuela, Brazil etc.? Anyone?

I went to Cuba about 6 years ago, it was cheap , but there was too much red-tape, bribery going on.
Mid shag in the hotel , the porter would knock on the door for his couple of dollars , the knocking got louder until you paid the f_ck.
Apparently its still the same, but I wouldn't hurry back. I hear Venezuela is interesting though....

Couldn't agree more with Haam Sup here... Personally, I like to head to LOS to indulge in some fine Thai food, to check out places I haven't seen in my last visit, to do some shopping at MBK or Panthip (once disks are available again); travel around *and* hook up with some Thai lovelies...
Will I be affected by the crackdown, or subsequent alleged cleanups?
I don't care if the girls have to wear bikinis in go gos, as long as the bikini comes off in the hotel.
I'm not going to miss the 'sex shows' - while they should be experienced at least once, they don't provide much excitement beyond that, if at all.
I could do with a few less, obnoxious, drunk, loud-mouthed, and foul-mouthed vomit-brigade members.
MPs will still be around.
So, no, I won't be affected.

Well, certainly a TAT campaign to promote the sexual merits of Venezuela wouldn't go entirely amiss.
On the other hand, how do you get to pose as a 'good guy' unless there are 'bad guys'?
Maybe they're necessary. Or if not actually necessary, can at least be used to advantage.
