Is there any problem having naked photos of TGs developed in Thailand? My low-tech buddy wants to know, because it's much cheaper to have his TG pics done there.

Not sure about developing, but it's illegal to take them out of the country for sure... if they catch you in customs, you're in for a ""treat"".

Tell him not to keep the flashcard in the camera when going through border, those things are so small he can hide them elsewhere. Use those crappy 8/16mb chips that come with the camera to take some pictures of nice trees and put that in the camera, just in case they're looking. I read somewhere that some custom places check the cameras (UK i think), but it's easy to hide. heck, you can burn them on a CD without anyone ever seeing a picture right within BKK.

if going digital get the Minolta Dimage Xi... everything about it is small...! 3.2mb pixels...can't complain.

yeah, digital is the way to go, but as mentioned, have a flash card in there with the regular touristy snaps on it, just in case they check (and they probably will).
As my webserver usually stays up while I'm away, I just upload my pics while still in LOS and stash them in a private area till I get back home to sort it out.

by and large no one will bother to check, however if you got pics developed locally, that were very explicit, it is possible some photo-shops my tip-off police, who would be waiting for you to come and collect them, - as i say, does not happen often, but has happened.

Hi TimidGuy,
I'll be completing my trip around Southern Thailand in Bangkok for a few days later next month, with many pics from my dig camera. You say that i can burn these onto CD-ROM, do you know which particular stores do this, & can they see what is being burnt?
