I have even had bills padded in 4* Hotels either accidently or--- but always cleared up as soon as I complain.
My gf or one of her friends, if we are out eating, will not normally let me have the bill until one of them has checked it.
And I agree that in a GG or bar then every chit should be checked as it goes in the Bin.
OBTW What is the question?

Like Coolbreeze, I always have my bodyguard check the traffic on the cups. He, (A 400lb Samoan ex-Sumo wrestler residing in Hawaiian Gardens), carries, among other things, a calculator, and dutifully adds everytime the drinks arrive. Other members of my entourage', (hey thanks France!), watch my back as well.
But seriously, with friends it gets sticky, but alone, I pay as I go, and when paying up, and I pull out a 1000 baht note, I linger just before letting go of it, to catch the waitresses attention to the fact of what strength note it is. Bar fine goes the same. Never, ever pay "tip" to BG before the deed is done. I'll show the money if pressed, "pay first mister" but will not pay first, Panties down first, then money!

A couple of days before my stay at the Soi Diamond Hotel ended I saw a heated argument between two airline pilots and the reception staff. Money issue. The light comes on in my head and I decided to settle my bill for up to the that time. You guessed it. As I'm checking out at midnight of departure day the reception lady tried to overcharge me $15 - 20. After I explained that I only owed for two additional days she walked away for a few minutes and came back with a smile and said I was correct. Then when she gave me my change she only tried to stiff me $3 -4.
Moral... Just as with drinks it might pay to occasionally settle up with the hotel instead of letting four or five weeks go by.

Yep stay a counting fool as to the Bins.
I party at Go Go's often and I aint cheap either. I contribute to the sisterhood but not the entire barhood.
Say you have fun with 5 girls for 3 hours and BF 1 or 2 later.
You drink 6 Singha's at 90 baht = 540 baht
They drink 10 LD's at 100 baht. = 1000 baht
BF's 200-600 baht; I'll take #69 at = 400baht
all adds up but could be more if you dont check the bins bros should be 1940 baht maybe ?
but on occasion is 2400- 2900 baht
So watch you wallets and CC's dudes.
