Err, because I didnt want to be embarassed. Actually, ive been doing research on actual tour guides. 2k for 4hrs tour of different areas of BKK. Was thinking you guys'd think I'd be paying through the nose =)

Why be embarassed - shit I paid through the nose for some of my private tours in Vietnam this year. Sure I could have gone in some bus stuck with a bunch of tourist and hated it. Rather pay and have a private tour myself. I no longer take packaged tours I can't stand them.
Actually I check out some web sites (don't ask what ones as I have lost them) that did just that. Professional tour guides for I think up to 6 hours. If you want a real tour guide I think they will work out better then picking up a BG or FL.
The ones I read about had professional training as guides and spoke good English.
Yes 2K for 4 hours is a lot but we are talking a private guided tour of the city. You are not stuck in a bus with a bunch of other tourist like a bunch of cattle.
Later pick your evening entertainment based on what they are best at and who you like the most.
Sounds like a plan to me.

If you don't find a fl, I suggest the cheapest tour. Get tourist information from thailand tourism and do it for free. They give out free guides, etc. Most of the main stuff is around the Grand Palace and the maps are accurate. I toured the area and other places on my own and was fine. You can take a ride on a public boat on the river nearby. The bus only costs 5 baht to go from Sukhumvit to the area around the Grand Palace. The rest of the money can go towards night stuff. If you want more info, send it to my messenger.

Guys, I've got a few miscellaneous questions, some of which I tried searching for and some I need updates on. Please bear with me =)
1. How much is the limo taxi to BKK at the airport nowadays? My Lonely Planet is out of date.
2. What size are Baht bills? Similar to USD or GBP?
3. Just to confirm: the fees in MPs like Poseidon include the sex, right? Anything I give the attendant is strictly a tip?
4. What BTS station for Soi 33? Or should I take a cab from someplace else?
5. Is 2pm stil a good time to go for Bier Garten? Should I even bother? From my research its the best place for FLs. Or should I consider that BGs are safer than FLs?
6. The walk of shame from Bier Garten/Eden to the Star Hotel (I think thats it) isnt TOO bad, is it?
7. Where is the RT on the 18th again? I don't really drink but I'd like to meet you all and thank you for your support (read: pick your brains again) =)
