...i tell you what Maddog, I am 33, and i've been to LOS 3 times now in the last 3 years, and although I have my own reservations about you taking your son...i really wish I had 'discovered' LOS when I was 18, then maybe I would have not wasted half my time chasing 'unavailable' cock-teasing, fat farang girls...!

If his Mum has an interest/influence in her son, what does she say about this important part of the lad's upbringing? Does she support you or might this trip to LOS create conflict between them for the future?
If it was me I wouldn't take him just for the P4P also I'd prefer to let the lad find LOS on his own or with his peers, JMHO.

I agree with Brocher - there is so much more to Thailand that the neon lights of Sukhumvit. Do make sure that he sees all that the Thai culture has to offer.
I am a young guy as well and I don't have kids, so any parentage-related comments carry little value, but I'll tell you this much - I made my first pilgrimage to LOS at the age of 20 and I am still wondering if it wasn't a tad too early...IMHO, you've got to be emotionally ready for P4P and an 18-year-old whose only interaction with the fairer sex was a blowjob at highschool for which he subsequently got suspended...I'd have my reservations about throwing him in into the scene. Golden Star has some very good points. I once proposed taking my nephew's with me to LOS (17 and 19 years) with full intention of introducing them to the P4P scene. My sister went ballistic at the proposal, she knows me.
