i've heard stories of bodies being covered with knock-out drugs and have always thought i must wash the girl throughly.

When I travel, I leave my ATM, credit cards, extra cash locked in the hotel safe. I go to the ATM every couple of days and then head back to hotel to put the card back in the safe. Bit of a hassle but I know where everthing is. BTW, I never carry passport only a copy. I start out the night with 5000 if I can't have a good time on that amount somethings wrong. I never have had a problem other then minor hassles with cab drivers in LOS. Always have felt safe.

The biggest danger walking back to your hotel at night is that due to the poor lighting and alcohol coursing through your body, you'll trip over the broken up pavement or walk into any of the poles or other objects placed randomly about, and then fall into the street, or into a puddle of raw sewage.
I don't bother taking all my cards out of the wallet (I usually keep at least one ATM/Visa card). But I always wear pants with a button pocket so it makes it that much harder to steal or accidentally fall out. I then keep a money clip of a few hundred baht in my front pocket for tips and most small transactions to avoid flashing the wallet (and forgetting to button it back up).

The matter of the drug-on-the-nipples gambit has been making the rounds of the newspapers, Trink, etc etc for at least 7-8 years. It seems to be a Pattaya thing, and personally, I have always regarded Pattaya as a place I'd just not bother about.
I am at a loss to identify the drug involved or explain why such drug is not absorbed through the nipple if it is so potent not to mention tasteless and odorless. But that's just me, the chemist, being picky.
The more general case of girls drugging guys and rolling them is not confined to Pattaya, but it is a freelancer's trick, be she a streetwalker, or from Thermae, or the Soi 7 beer bar, etc etc. This is one of the reasons I advise everyone to steer clear of all such, and also, no matter where the girl was acquired, don't take her to your hotel room, apartment, house, whatever. Take her to a ST hotel, that is what they are for. This limits her possible booty to whatever you have on you.
Of course everytime I put these simple tips forward I get crapped on by guys who just love freelancers.
So knock yourselves out, if you don't want sound advice.

It looks that BKK is a safe place to stay, just keep eyes open, but as I had a very bad experience in Amsterdam last year, I continue to have some doubt...I'll stay in the ambassador hotel for a couple of days from saturday. may somebody can tell me what are the places where you DON'T have to go in day/night ?
this definetively will make me more quiete...

Just be sensible, you know the areas in your own town or city where you wont go, so don't go to similar places in BKK. I have never had any trouble walking around BKK at any time of day or night.
Don't carry lots of cash and if you do don't flash it around. If you take a taxi and the driver refuses to turn on the meter - just get out and report his number to your hotel concierge.

Los is safe, so is amsterdam.
Just stay clear of LB s an watch out on the walk bridges suk same as do not speak to guys on the street who psst you in amsterdam do like BD advises only the money you need rest in the safe no problem.
I walk all round the back streets drunk no worries
but after 20 yrs in amsterdam you learn to watch your back and never trust anyone wherever I go.
sorry to hear u had problems in amsterdam,
biggest hassle in los is the guys from soi 5 to 13 trying to take you to the massage parlour happy hour
if thats all big deal, same thing walk on ignore it.
