Hello I am newbie to Thailand, well at least I will be in July for 2 weeks. I'm staying in a district in Bangkok called Minburi. I'm attending a tattoo program while I'm there. Its a hell of a lot cheaper there versus back here in the States. And since I will be having some free time some nights, I plan on going out to meet some girls or at least indulging somehow. I appreciate all your info that I was able to read as a free user and I'm grateful for the upgrade too. So I hope I can ask questions here and there as well as report back my trip afterwards. Much appreciated.

... Minburi is a good long hike from most venues covered here... your hosts might know of closer places, which might be more of a 'local' experience... Minburi has a large Muslim population, so maybe not.
... otherwise, I would avoid BKK's notorious traffic and make the trip into BKK before or after the rush hours.

Magnum- Thx for the heads up. I have been looking at the maps to kind of guess as to jut how far away the main venues are, but do u have a rough guess as to how long it takes to get there from Minburi not during rush hour? I will make the trip for sure cause I cant imagine being in LOS and not exploring! Lol.

If you look at the map (I use Google), you can get on hwy 7 to get to Sukhumvit....you have to pay toll..you can ask the taxi driver to drop you off when you get on Suk or by Nana BTS.....Well, it's depend on what part of two you want to go...

Hi, goin to be a newbie to BKK, in the first week of june, have took a 24hr layover to get laid  . Have mongered before in Europe and ME but in BKK the choices being incredible and the environment amazing. I am confused.
Dont know how to plan the day, cant decide still, escort, BG or MP girls. Wanna get a experience that makes me ready for my next trip in July.
Grateful for the upgrade will hopefully be able to clear my doubts n make a decision that will give me a truly happy ending,by learning from the forums. Will post a detailed field report Thanks & happy mongering.
