I too came across this "one size fits all" statement, as I was departing the Incheon airport.

A  Korean pharmacist said this to me when I asked what sizes did he have. He replied just these OSFA.

With a young lady standing next to me, I just looked down at his crutch and said " dont brag". He didn't have a clue what I meant.

Regarding Wat Po & Wat Phra Kaeo:

I managed to pass the temple fashion control with long trousers, short sleeves and sandals - but it is important not to wear sandals that leave the achilles heel uncovered!

I went into Wat Po with short sleeves no problem.  I was also wearing sandals before entering, but you can't wear shoes inside so i went bare foot, as did many others no problem... but the guy that walked in with his sneakers still on got escorted out.
