Go to NEP via Sukhumvitt Soi 2 Hotel JW Marriott you can take the Ploechit South Off Ramp that does a U-turn back to Sukhumvit. Turn right just before Sukhumvitt where the sign says JW Marriott hotel entrance this will empty out on in front of the JW Marriott.
If you try to go up Sukhumvitt this could add another 30-90 minutes to the journey.
Taxi Fare 165 THB Expressway depends on point of entry: Changwattana Road Free entry then 50 Toll midway Muang Than Thani entry 20 + 50 midway Si Saman/Tiwan Road entry 25+75
So figure 70 THB tolls 165 THB and 30 minutes transit time.
Forget Nonthaburi the only night life is watching the Soi dogs being hit by trucks.

reminds me of some times when I first started working here and actually saw some dogs get nailed and it was a huge event for about 20 seconds while policemen decide how to get the carcass into a dumpster/can without getting diseased... major drama 555
