enthusiast,,, I do declare you may have mistaken the gift idea,,,,, being from Aus I often add a small toy Kangaroo or Koala to the tip and sometimes give them out at the bar,,, they cost a grand price of 30cents AUD (made in China LOL ) but are never meant to replace the monetary compensation I give the ladies,,, more of a fun thing and an Australian momento.
Ok,, now onto more important things,, the sick Buffalo,,,, You guys do realise we shoot the fuken things here in Aus because they are pests....So next time you are asked to help the BG's family sick buffalo it may be cheaper to PM me and get a quote on a brand new one . P.S Cheaper by the dozen.
Maybe we could consider "organ transplants for these Buffalo....LOL

Yes, Some of us are slow learners I guess. I temporarily lost sight of that somewhere along the line.
BTW, I was paying their "price", not a complete dumb azz, was talking about an extra tip (besides cash) trying to be nice. A waste, simple money would have been more effective.

LOL. If ever there was a place to be a slow learner, LOS is the place. The key to learning they say is repetition, repetition, repetition. I always think that being "experienced" with BGs just means making the same mistakes less often.
Reading your previous posts, yeah, I'd say you got played by those girls. I'd also say "so what?", "join the club" and " I bet you had a great time anyway".
Be clear that nobody here is laughing AT you on this - the collective groaning in the last dozen posts is more about - "yep been there, I remember when I did that..etc."
BTW don’t forget the impolite Thai word for us farangs is "kwai" which means "buffalo". Hence the double meaning in these sick buffalo (read love sick buffalo) posts.
A problem with doing more than you have to (ie. giving extra money or gifts) with some BGs is that they will read this as a "weakness" and just play you for more and more. Picking the right BGs - something that only comes with time and experience - is the key to overcoming that. Enjoy.

On the other side these families are substance farmers with no medical insurance. It may sound funny to us but when an Issan, Laotian or Cambodian rice farmer (or town drunk) gets sick it can be a real financial burden for them even if the medical services are ridiculously cheap by our western standards. I really do think motorbikes are dangerous (especially is driven drunk), and serious accident do happen all the time. A sick water buffalo is a broken tractor to these guys, yes a lot of these stories are fake, most of them are… but a lot are still true. IMHO!

Doesn't 'kwai' also mean 'dick', as I found out recently when I ordered 'fried banana' as 'kwai thod', to the amusement of the old lady fixing them up - now, I'll forever know it's 'kluai', after ordering what I was told was 'fried dick'

A very impolite word for penis, like cock, is kway (vowel like ay in say). This word is similiar to kluay for banana.
Kwai, buffalo, the vowel is like I in bike.
