I disagree with your "most loved people in the world". Do you travel outside of BKK? The French dislike americans, every middle eastern country either outwardly or to themeselves hate americans.
I was in United Arab Emirates, and the hotel concierge said " When your out shopping, do not say your american, because of kidnappings and stabbings." Sounds like love to me.
I was in Spain, a few weeks ago. And they are not that happy with America because they hold america partially to blame for the subway bombings. The English like Americans because, well they have no choice. So, where is the "most loved people in the world" coming from. Maybe from your lazy boy rocking chair in Indiana or wherever your from.
Regards, to Bar Girls or Ho's in Bangkok. It really depends on the girl as far as preferences. They all like clean, well dressed, handsome, and fun loving guys. Some wont go with certain nationalitys (indians, etc) because of horrible experiences in the past.

I'm no uber patriot but I do feel that the U.S. gets a bad wrap simply because it is such a big and easy target.
Do Americans have an edge over other nationalities? Who cares?

I HAVE BEEN WAITING for the dust to settle ( bull dust ) on this discussion. 
1) They don't like Americans because of that damn accent ALL those "r rrrrrr 's " are so annoying. And once they have met an arrogant American they never forget.
P.S Also the fact that 80% of Americans carry the herpies virus.
2) Pommies are often cheap charlies and all those chips and their basic eating habits often have them some 20-30 kilo overweight.
But I must give the Poms 1 positive and that is Manchester United comes from England and it is the most popular in ALL of LOS.
3) The French,, where do I start,,,,,,,,, well Thailand being the peacefull country it is will always remember what France began in Vietnam ( yes check history it was actually France that started the Vietnam war). 
And the pictures of dead "peace protesters " in New Zealand after the French terrorist act are very unpopular.
4) Other Euro's,, Italians NO they call them Ho's,,, Greeks often TOO hairy (especially the women lol),,,
5) The Dutch,, well I would have too admit they are very widely liked because of their good looks etc but the girls get annoyed at the sound of them "clogs" when walking on the streets , always having to build wind-mills and it is also very frightening to a Thai that people can actually live "below sea level" ( remember most Thai's cannot swim).
6) Well that leaves us with Aussies and New Zealanders,
Once again the accent of the kiwi is very annoying to the Thai ear,, "fesh and cheps '' but the killer is when they are with 5 mates and ask for SEX Heinekins...LOL
Not to mention what they do to sheep !!! 
AHHH, that leaves me ( I mean Australians) 
As a majority ( yes we also have our share of ass-holes) the middle aged Australian is by far the most popular, Thai gals worship us/me

1) Largest Island in the world
2) 6th largest country in the world
3) Small population as we don't like to let too many idiots in here ( we have enough of our own,,,LOL)
4) 9th ALL time champions of Olympic sports ( not bad for such a small population)

Very few places in the world you go and dont find an Aus or a Kiwi -
and travel certainly broadens the mind....
