I can speak some japanese and was wondering if its a good idea to use it if communication in english becomes difficult.
I ask because I was thinking that maybe the girls will have picked up some japanese to cater for the jap customers that flock to bkk (but then thought that they may try to make me pay jap prices).
PS I will learn some thai before I go but I doubt ill learn much as my trip is short-notice.

Ive read a bit about bringing 2 girls back to hotels and this is something I would dearly love to do myself.
Presumably if I book a double room, thats for 2 people right? If I bring 2 girls back whats the worst that could happen at the reception desk? will they turn one girl away or can I just pay for one more person in my room for that night?

Leeroy, I always stay at the Manhattan hotel, and book a double.
Bringing 2 girls back has never been a problem. The shower is big enough, with enough hot water. The beds are big enough. No extra charge. Just ask the maid for an extra bath towel. Had to pay for an extra breakfast in the morning, but the looks from the other people eating were worth the extra price.
Have fun. 2 is work, but worth it. 3 almost killed me.

how is the manhattan? I read that its gone downhill a bit? I read that its now noisy (from construction) and the rooms were very average quality.
im not looking for extravagance but I want something clean and tidy with a clean bathroom, a window, and a pool would be good. also GF.
when did you stay there last?
