DD - was not aware of that statistic - although it dosent surprise me - another factor is the amount of uncooked. or partially cooked food in things like Lab,Pha-lah etc - which means a huge % of thais have parasites in their systems - probably a reason the TGs keep slim !

There's f***in' loadsa parasites in Thailand, both inside and outside their system!

I really do want to try some stuff from the carts but have no idea what eat!  to be honest need to solve the first problem which is to bar fine a girl. Which means she tell me what things are! I did the other night - but clearly I had more to drink than I realised when I got outside... :- (... almost did not go ahead with it. She was not 23, maybe 33+ :- (.... I see so many cute girls - thats not a problem - but cannot find any that I have been able to communicate at any sort of level. Coming from living in Jakarta for a year, its amazing the level of english there. Maybe that - or I have been getting it all wrong
This week I am going all out - want to find a girl to show me around the city (need to do some tourist stuff) - so Friday night here I come. Still need to check out Pat Pong as well...

We post on 31st July informing you of various places to eat. You reply **after** our posts (when you actually refer to our posts) so you must have read them, no?
Then 1st August you post that you ate at Busstop then on 4th August you say you didn't read our posts before you ate at Busstop....errr 
If you take the advice of the earlier posters (that's if you admit to reading them ) then you'd better not eat the meat or veggies. By the way the fruit is probably been washed in water with bacteria in it so....!

IMHO... Give Patpong a miss.... Just Nana at twice the prices, and 3 times the hassles ! also, re the bar-fine, maybe better to save that, and go get a girl from Soi 7 beer garden - no bar fine, and probably a little more inclined to show you around ; most half decent Go_go girls, are after a short-time, they want the $$ quick, so they can go back to the bar and get another punter !
Re Food - If pressed, go for Kow Man Gai Tod ! - basically fried chicken with rice, generally fresh, not spicey, and cost a whole 25-30baht.
