Of course, there are flip sides to the positive aspects that you describe (too much GFE can mean clingy and jealous; no runners, but they never want to leave; too much education and they know when we are bullshitting them). That said, I like what you describe as far as it goes. I just wish PI itself were more enticing a place.
For me LOS is the whole package and always will be. And you can certainly swing high or swing low in BKK/PTY/or elsewhere. The variety is what is so amazing. I like being able to go to a place where I can have two girls give me a BJ in full view of the rest of the bar, and the next night, or a few hours later, have a gorgeous bartender fix my drinks from my bottle of whisky while I watch the cutie coyotes on the bar and flirt with the hostess next to me. I like variety in my experiences as much as I like variety in my girls.
I like them dirty and I like them shy. I like them tall and skinny, and I like them short and spinning. I like them every which way they come, as long as they keep on coming. And going.
That's not to say I have no requirements, au contrair. But I have learned that flexibility in that respect is much more rewarding than not.
All that said, I agree with Don, if JJ survives his stay in BKK... he should definitely go see PI for himself.

was thinking the same way like you a couple of years ago and thought I would never be able to really leave thailand. but I can see LOS has changed in many ways over the last couple of years and the attitude has changed and is not the same as in the late 90's or early 00's.
i still see and enjoy that said attitude in the phil but not in LOS anymore. but may be I am just getting older now and are not so handsome anymore as I was 10 years ago.
yes, there are also downsides to the phils. as the competition among the girls is so high, they tend to be rather clingy, overjealous and therefore nagging. but I rather take that over a more reserved and cold business attitude of the tg. also it makes me chuckle that you suggest better eductated girls are more smart in tracing down your cheating escapades. does that mean you are happy shaggy dumb ones over smarter ones. I rather take the better educated ones and try to be even more smarter then in covering my antics.
food in the phil generally sucks even in manila. I just can't eat jollibee, mac d, kfc or shakeys all day! also pollution, the lack of infrastructure and decent hotels and the questionable safety are for sure a bigger issue in the phils than in thailand. as a tourist there are more spots to visit in thailand too. beaches would compare the same!
if you take all together both countries score equal for me. that's why I split my time 50/50 at the moment. still for the girls only, the phils would win outright!

I have been going to Thailand a very long time now-
but must disagree-
Manila was by far more exciting-
