its like 99-100 degrees in Thailand right now I cant imagine how much it sucks to get sick and be so hot..I was looking at getting one of those personal cooling systems like an ice vest or collar mist things but I think they would look so stupid that it would outweigh any benifit

Yes you're right. The stuff I took made me feel somehow strange. I don't know how to describe. It's like you have drunken 2 or 3 glasses of red wine but you haven't. Same feeling when having taken Lariam pills.
But anyway, I can do with that. Drank several bottles of Chang beer and felt like I do normally when having consumed this quantity. The running nose and the headaches stopped (only headaches in the morning from the beer). So, I am quite satisfied. Also, the hunger for the girls is coming back

Are you a doctor? The fact is that while going from hot to cold will not give you the flu, it deff. can contribute to catching it, well maybe not the flu so much, but at least a cold. The A/C causes dry air, etc. Also recyled air, also may weaken the immune system in other ways not currently understood. Fact is, the "cold" is one of the less understood diseases. Common sympoms, many different causes.
Latino: the medicine you describe is sold without a prescription in the U.S.A. but is often banned in europe.
