route 66 is for locals only. you will have problems scoring there unless you do speak thai. nice chicks to watch though! best days are thursday, friday, saturday.
skip sparks as it is too loud, sticky and a bit off the other venues. a lot of mp girls hang out there but there are much better and stylier discos in bangkok like narcissus, cm2, la lunar, ministry of sound, dancefever. also clubs like 'bed' are certainly more rewarding then travelling out to sparks!
the g-clubs like piano and exotica are mainly member clubs where you will have to buy a membership otherwise it will cost you an arm. also not places for the inexperienced traveller as you will have to be sure about the concept of these places!
forte and orbit are great places to look at girls dancing, but again you will have to have a membership there if you do not want to deep wallet! also 98% thai dominated places for a newbie without a local not very recommendable!
hard rock cafe is very popular with 'newbies' as this is a world known franchise. experienced travellers or bangkok expats would never be seen in this place. some girls like to go there as they can easily target on the fresh unexperienced (aka big spender) 'farang meat'. still might be not a bad idea for a first timer. i know some newbie guys who swear on it, but you will never see me in hard rock cafe!
for the mp's darling is certainly the most western oriented place in bangkok, but the quality of the girls is rather poor! better mp's are emanuelle, poseidon, colonze etc. or a bit closer to the city cupidty in the plaza entertainment. prices are comparable to darlings but better rooms and much better quality of girls (problem here is that these places cater mainly to thais so you might find yourself a bit lost there!)
I am surprised that nobody is mentioning the gogo scene as this is the usual starting place for most newbies! if you like gogos try to avoid patpong, better stick with nana (best picks at the moment are: angelwitch, hollywood strip, rainbow1) or soi cowboy (long gun, dollhouse).
for freelancers best spots for me are of course cm2 and after grace hotel coffee shop were you will find hundreds of girls to choose from!
Start your nights at the massage parlors or gogos and head over to cm2 at around 00:00. in case you aren't still hooked up with a cutie while it closes at 02:00 am there is still the coffee shop in the basement of grace hotel for the after hour drinking or grabbing!

A lot has been said about the places to hang out in BKK, my favourite a go go bars are the ones of many other bros such as Suzie Wong, Tilac both in Soi Cowboy and others. Not much to comment on this subject...
In your last post you are asking if some of the bros can cover you with digital photos from the North, as you do not want to tell anybody to know that you are going to BKK. If I were you I would aswell take benefit of the large selection of cultural things in BKK during daytime and you could take some photos there and tell everybody back home what a cool place BKK is. Do not forget the shopping possibilities which are amazing. You know that BKK has so many things to offer and it is not only a large red light district...

First of all thank's a lot to you guys. Putting together now all the places and try to find out where they are will take some time. but as we are talking also from swiss to swiss it's actually true there is one small problem. I can not have sex 24 hours/7days . good point. Does somebody know if there is a place where it's possible to play tennis and to hire a teacher(in) not so far from sukkhumvit?. This would be perfect. Make some fitness in the hotel, swimm in the pool, play some tennis and visit all the places you mentioned. sounds cool. So o.k. a tennis center is my problem now. thank's for any idea or links. If somebody is during 1st april - about 10 April in bkk a beer will be shure!!!!!

There's several of us who should be around in that time frame to corrupt, er, I mean, teach you about the ways of BKK. Are you looking for a tennis instructor (oder ein anderen Lehrer(-in))?
I think that there are tennis courts in Queen's Park (between Sois 22 & 24 on Sukhumvit. I know that they have volleyball, basketball and tak graw (sp?) right near the back of the Imperial Queen's Park hotel, plus aerobics and tai chi at different times. It may be a bit hot for tennis at that time of year, though, so perhaps it's best you just meander over to the Soi 7 Beergarden and sit in the shade.

not sure of your budget or if this is your first time visit to bkk.
but it still might be a good idea to check out the lower end places (cheaper) then upgrade to the higher end places. this way you wont be disapointed.
Here is the order i would put it in for each category:
MPs (from about 4pm is a good time for me):
J1
Emanuelle
Barons for an overall expereince.
Gogo Bars (from about8 or 9 pm):
Nana Plaza.
Soi Cowboy - Long Gun.
Patpong - Kings Castle 1 or 2.
Then take a look at Club Orbit. (remember this place your chance of getting a girl is slim. NOT a gogo bar, but unbeleivable pretty young dancing girls)
Night Clubs (from about 11pm):
Dance Fever
La Lunar
CM2 (very highly recommended)
Late Night (after 2am):
Grace Hotel (be prepared to be amongst Arabs)
Thermae
Siam Hotel
Beer Bars (anytime):
sorry not knowledgeable enough yet.
