speaking thai is a huge plus. also opens u up to a whole new world beyond the p4p scene. for most thais, even the appearance of making an effort to learn thai is impressive. if u can actually speak the language a little u are up there with the gods.
for fun and for thosw who don't know, there is a very funny book called Thai for Lovers, available at all Asia Bookshops, cost 299 baht I think. buy it, take it to a bar, let one of the girls take it from u and just watch and see what happens. for sure u will have a fun night!!

This is definately NOT true. There are plenty of Normal girls in BKK that can speak english, and want a Farang BF. You just are not going to find them hanging out at NANA, Patpong, or SC.
I hit on the three Univ hot girls at starbucks and their english was poor to not able to communicate. And we are supposed to have a relationship? I didnt say it was impossible, just more work. For example, Go To Bed and honestly how many of those girls can speak fluent English.

I am a semi-retired ESL teacher and I've had good success by "teaching" English to the girls.
Most have at least some interest in improving their English (professional development?). The girls know that speaking beyond pidgin increases their chances of scoring a LT gig or a falang BF/sponsor.
If you can make it fun the relationship will warm up and edge beyond P4P with dividends to be paid in the sack.

Oh goody, I can answer this one. I do know BG with around six years in one bar who has been thoroughly impressed by one guy.
She once told me that it's all just a game with the girls doing their best to get as much money for the least amount of sex, and the punters trying to get the most sex for the least amount of money.
She now has a sponsor who never expects sex, gives her regular money, expensive gifts, and hardly ever sees her, He also pays for music lessons and driving lessons. Presumably he's going to buy the car too, although I doubt whether he knows this yet.

In fact Daffy I wouldn't disagree with you.
There is no need to treat the girls bad. They're doing a job.
Sadly with their environment they often tend to view good treatment as weak, and regard the "good" customers as mugs.
There again they certainly know who the bad customers are.
The middle course is perhaps best. Pay them for their services, a tip if you want them to remember you (ie you're coming back!), then go.

Just don't rag them the first time you meet them. Have a few drinks with the one you've scoped out in the afternoon, spend a couple of hours speaking to them. When the night kicks off, leave and go and have your fun elsewhere. Head back the next day and they'll tend to be all over you.
