Over the past three years I have had maybe a dozen suits and 30 shirts made at Raja's. The fittings are crucial for a really good fitting suit. I have always been pleased and have had many compliments on the workmanship and materials (wool/silk blends) for both summer and winter weight.
It just means that don't expect a one-day, single fitting to be of good quality, even if the material is good.
I go there early when i arrive and give them plenty of time for the fittings.

I take your point on allowing time for fittings and did go to them on day 1 of my trip. I must add the suits are really well cut and flatter my stocky build. Very happy with that. Just was unclear whether bthe fabric had been substitiuted for something lesser than what I was promised. Say John, would u know a taiolor who really does stock Ferragamo and Armani fabric cos Raja doesn't. He showed me his best (which I chose) it felt really good to touch but it had no name on the bale.

Another one I really like is The Boss next to the Windsor suites. They are really good and the fabrics are better. And they keep good computer records of your sizes/measurements so a second order is faster as patterns are referenced.

I think you are being very over charged.... I have had suits made at several places and never has it been like that...and I am not intot he $99 comer-prices. If I wear a suit, which is rare, I want it to look and feel good.

John, is US$600 too much for a two piece suit and a navy blue blazer in what Raja claim was their 'best armani fabric'? How much would you pay for 1 suit made with the best fabric (Zegna etc)? And where is Windsor Suites. thanks for the help.

once again narin does have zegna, cerrutti and other italians, a suit will be thb 15,000 with 2 trousers = usd 350! so why pay usd 600 for lower material when you can get italian stuff for nearly half the price!
the indian tailors usally always rip you off!!!
better use the thai or thai chinese tailors. all what the indian tailors do, is to take your measurement and hand them to one of the thai sweat shops. their tremendous profit is the balance in between!!!

there is no Ferragamo or Armani "fabrics"
the companies that make their products buy from the same mills that these tailors could buy from..
In many cases companies like F and A may buy from more than one mill ..
you will pay more for all wool with the best quality .. probably not worth it for most, but if you look you might find the same fabrics that you can get in London on a bespoke suit ..
