Jesu, CDM, where have you been hiding out? The humanities & social sciences are in a pretty bad way all over. VJ is right that sociology and anthropology are in particularly dire straits (what's new?), but most other disciplines are badly infected too.
Far too many nth-rate academics around who are far more interested in political polemics than scholarship. They see their task primarily as quarrying their subjects for ammunition. That's leaving aside the pure careerists - the sort of people who will fall in with any modish drivel to avoid damaging their chances of tenure or funding. In recent years, the abject cowardice of much of academe in the face of PC has been quite breathtaking - a shameful betrayal of what universities are supposed to be about.
I mean, this very subject of Thai P4P is a fascinating anthropological phenomenon which deserves serious study. But how many Western academics these days could (or would dare) write about it with proper scholarly detachment?

If you didn't realize, the feminist movement as well as other BS movements have taken away the rights of the working class white male. We have lost our rights to a bunch of over-sensitive bitches who think that all men should die. I cannot hardly believe that you are not aware of this.
I swear that I hear every day in 3 out of 4 classes that I am currently enrolled in about how bad the white male has made America and how we need to reform to a more 'diverse' society, etc..... You think I enjoy this sh_t as I am a white baldie in a room full of women who would like nothing more than me to walk out and say, "Phuck it!". I am going throught this BS and then I can say "Phuck it." Because once I get my BS in Nursing, then I will move my pathetic white ass somehwere else in the world where I can avoid these nazi bitches.

Political correctness being what it is at US universities, people have been charged with sexual harrassment by their graders, female teaching assistants, for submitting papers expressing 'sexist' view points or view points that were seen as degrading to women. I recall one case where a male student submitted an essay arguing that phone surveys were inherently inaccurate because people who had better things to do would not respond. He pointed out that he never participated in phone surveys as he had better things to do such as banging college girls. He was charged with sexual harassment by creating a 'hostile work environment' for the grader. I forget how case worked out (i.e. whether they succeeded in expelling him or not).
Unless your priority is to make some point about prostitution and feminism rather than your grade or graduating, writing this paper does not seem like a very clever idea.
Of course that's just my opinion.

TC73 I suggest you focus your topic to How a many nurses in Thailand use P4P to supplement their megger income from the medical industry here. Many are all too eager to provide the quick HJ while you are in the hospital bed for some quick cash. This paper should get a rise out of your classmates.

He could have been expelled just for being a neanderthal, but his sheer stupidity combined with his arrogance would clinch it.

News for you, your nursing degree won't help you much in countries that do not recognize it. So all that education is down the drain. You won't find a job in and near Thailand for sure, not because of whether you are qualified or not (in this case you are not, since your degree will not be recognized), but more importantly because it is much easier hiring 20 local nurses who might not be as good as you, but sure are easier to employ and less expensize.
On the other hand, as a nurse, you will get access to contraband which you can sell on the black market and have enough cash to travel to LOS every 3 months. 
Sigh, when I grow old, I'm definitely moving to Thailand... I'd hate to fall in the hands of a nurse like TigerCode.

Yurune, couldn't have said it better myself. What is scary is that there are probably 1000s of people writing these sort of stuff (even at the UN) and then gets turned into policy since governments always know whats best for its people. 
P.S. - I am not the Squid Guy. Will the real squid guy please stand up?
