To all newbies...."Ask and ye shall receive".
There is ample information provided by the veterans. It is usually current and worthwhile but it takes some reading. Where the newbie has problems is when he comes in demanding answers or getting snippy with an older member that might be trying to tell him to UTFSE in a humorous way. Getting snippy with a veteran is not the way to endear yourself and become a veteran in your own right.
This is common sense and any moron should understand it.

But why do so many vets seem to love responding to such individuals?
Well let me tell you. It is because Newbies serve a purpose. They allow vets to 'appear' razor sharp and brilliant whereas they would be just plain boring otherwise. Yep.
And what vet doesn't really enjoy dicing and slicing some newbie? You?
Besides, the concept of having 'vets' on a forum about 3 years old is hilarious. What next...battle fatigue?
