Ekkamai is Sukhumvit 63.
I live a lot further out than that and go home past that hotel a lot. My taxi home is never more that 80B...I think from Nana to the hotel would be less that 65B Maximum.
No BTS or anything else around there...for a first time traveller I would not recommend the location.

ahh.. My dayli budget after the rent is payed says around 2300, ... doesn't sound like much does it!

There is not a great deal else around....at the hotel you are away from things. there is a foodland at the Junction of Ekkamai and New Petchburi / Pattanakarn...oh and a McDonalds not too far away i believe.........but there is not a great deal of interest out there.....and if you go out in day and evening....you'd be spending say 250B a day on taxi's...and possibly more.....that can be a very bad area for traffic along New Petchburi.
One last thought is that if I were a taxi driver it'd be easier to sting you for a longer route the further you are going......I think taxi drivers can smell people not experienced in Bangkok...they'll ask you what route to take for example....you won't understand the question let alone be able to answer it........Just a thought

Hey brother Turist Nana hotel is on Soi 4, Grace hotel is on Soi 3 Now I hate to be a downer here but what hasn't been explained to you yet is that if you're planning on going there in Feb. then you will be going during high tourist season and your chances of finding a room at any hotel at any price could be a big gamble ( especially the lower priced hotels ). Also what has yet to be mentioned is that even if the hotel is guest friendly unless you book the room as a double then there's a good chance they may charge you a joiners fee everytime you bring a guest back with you and that could get up to 1000 baht each time. Finally regarding your entertainment budget, it doesn't look as if anyone has warned you about the Thai Lady Intelligence Network (TLIN) yet. Basically what this means is that should you do anything that a lady in the P4P biz feels deserves to be shared with her "sisters" then I guarantee that a very large percentage of the ladies will have heard about it by the next night ( Trust me when I say that the CIA should send their agents to LOS to learn information gathering techniques  ). I know you need to budget your money as much as possible but the first lady who decides to slap the coveted title of Cheap Charlie on you and you may find that the rest of your vacation may not be as much fun as you had hoped. My best advice to you is to try your best to secure a room now while you're still here. At least that would give you an idea of what you might be up against if you wait until you're there. Peace

My Sex-day budget
Frankly, I expect to be able to get the girls at the bars for 750 l/t, the barfine for 500, ‡ a bottel of spirits for 750, food + nam 300. Total = 2300 (yes) (is this way off)
And as said, after 2 weeks (or one) we will move to more cheap locations in Thailand.
I don't know if I dare trying the freelancers (stealing, AIDS, etc). Or should I?
Booking a cheap "hotel" like the nana condo can only be done by phone, So I guess if I have to book in advance I will have to buy one of you a bear for doing it for me, If someone is up to it that is!
And if all other things fail, the solution is my VISA. Last vacation I took was a drinking 7 day trip for Ibiza. I ended up useing more than 1600$ over what I had in my bank (much money when you are a student and have used 1500$ excluding the 1600 and the plain ticket and the hotel.
I still remember what the laidy in the bank said to me when I returned. "-Next time you take a vacation, I would very much like you to bring me along, because it looks like your vacations is a hell of a nice time", lol

Hey brother Turist, I'm still trying to figure out whether or not you were upset with me in your last post but let's see if I can make this a bit clearer.
There has been a lot of discussion lately about what's a fair fee to pay the ladies for their services. Brother Big D has his set price and I have learned, from talking about it with a few of the ladies, that the ladies themselves seem to be coming up with their own fee for the services they provide. I only spoke to a few ladies but I got basically the same quote from some of them. The quote I got was 1000 baht ST and 1500-2000 baht LT. Whether or not this should be considered to be the "standard" fee is still under debate.
What you choose to offer the ladies is up to you, but don't be surprised if you get turned down more times then you would care to.
Now as far as the TLIN is concerned I would take that very seriously. I do because I witnessed it first hand for myself. When I was in LOS in Sept. the hotel I was staying at had me in a room on the 7th floor and my ex worked in the bar down on the 1st floor. One morning I left my room and got on the elevator and pressed #1. The elevator stopped, the door opened, I got off and didn't know where the hell I was. The door closed and I'm standing there looking at the entrance to a massage parlor that I had no idea existed in my hotel ( AWE COME ON GUYS! I'm telling the truth. Really I had no idea. FINE! Be that way ).
I was seriously confused so I went in the parlor and asked the lady at the desk if this was the first floor. She just looked at me just as confused so I turned around and looked at the elevator and that's when I noticed the #3 on the door ( Or next to it ). Okay confusion solved, YOU'RE AN IDIOT.
I got back on the elevator and made sure I got off on the first floor this time. When I walked into the bar to see my GF the looks I got from the other ladies made the hairs on the back off my neck stand up. My GF walks up to me and said HI, SO YOU WANT TO GET A MASSAGE IS THAT RIGHT? Have you ever seen a black man turn snow white in 4 seconds? LUCKY YOU!
Anyway I explained what happened to her and everything was fine again but when a bar full of Thai ladies know what happened to you in the time it takes for an elevator to go from the 3rd floor down to the 1st floor then like I said, have much respect for the TLIN.
