Hi HS.
while i know the song was released in the 70's i recall seeing an interview many years ago with George Harrison.
he said the song was started in the 60's,but the nature of the subject matter did'nt fit in with the Beatles plans at the time.
McCartney espiecally was against the song.
Lennon simply put it on the backburner and in his rebel phase touched it up and released it.
i was basing my post on a interview withsomeone who had first hand knowledge at the time.

Just two niggling little points:
1) Although I instantly recognized the origin of your former sig, it was presented unattributed, i.e. plagiarized. Others here, who were not around when 'famous human rights activist' John Lennon was spouting his drivel, could easily have imagined it to be your drivel.
2) If you read any of my posts, you will note that my objection to your existence is based on your gratuitous and uninformed statements about the monarchy, and your general lack of maturity. The sig is just par for that particular course.

O K-New Guy, write whatever you want, I will tell U a little tale about the butt ugliest guy I ever saw in my life. I was on one of my little "holidays", drinking the early evening away, and off to the side I noticed this guy, sitting with two bar-girls laughing and having a swell time. The guy wasn't obese, wasn't smelly, but I swear HE HAD NO CHIN.....one eye sorta had that Quasimoto drooping thing going on, and I was intrigued he could even sip the glass of beer. And ya know I often think about that guy, whenever I'm temped to buy that Lesbo Lib bullshit about the subjugation of women, (hence nigger, look it up), and think about those girls, their condition and and their willingness to party with this poor slob who probably jacked off for months if not years while saving his dimes and quarters to get off with some 8's and 9's, who by the by would NEVER give him the time of day in the states. I think of that slob and all us guys like him who otherwise would never would have the opportunity to enjoy beautiful women. I could care less that I pay for it, and if I'm physically attractive to the BG, great, and if not, I let my baht shine.............................................
Lastly, hey New Guy, if you get babes on looks alone, why troll for BG's anyway.........If straight stuff is what your after go to the straight places, and don't waste the girls time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
