I'm thinking of buying a small pony for transportation along Petbury Road.Thing is,I'm a bit worried that it could get stolen.
Do I need to buy a motorbike ?
I hope you don't think this a dumb question;this is the Newbies section after all.

A pony is a very wise choice for bkk traffic. You can ride them through the myriad traffic jams, have them eat in the public parks and they can shit on any motorcycles that cut you off.
Having said that, I live in Pattaya and have found a pony isn't large enough for the many motorcycles down here. I have hired an elephant and have found it to be much better. It generates more shit than a pony, gets angrier much quicker than the average pony and can squash a motorcycle and driver with ease.

If you have an elephant, how come I only got to ride around in your car? Was the elephant at the shop for repairs?

Oh needin an everyday ride along petch ?.... heck Bangkok traffic sucks..... Id rather have Cali traffic anyday.
Use the scotter boys and Toyotas and BTS to get around town. Then have the down or upcountrybike/car to get outta town. You aint gonna save anytime gettin around during rainy season in rush hour around there. Scotter boys know their Sois well and they are 20-50 baht here n there.
