I'm typing this from Gulliver's free internet terminal so I don't want to hog it. I tried to search the forum for laundrys near Nana Plaza (staying in Majestic Suites) and got no results even though I searched both topic AND post. Does anyone know any good and inexpensive laundrys in the area? Please be as specific as possible. The couple I've checked want almost as much as the hotel to do my clothes. Thanks up front.

The little laundry up the soi of Nana Plaza right in front of Orchidd Inn is both cheap and reliable.I used it many time and never had any problem. (its less than a 5 minutes walk to go there from Nana)

Dont go for the one that is before in the same soi, same price but they ruined two of my shirts!

There is one in Soi 3 almost opposite the Majestic I used it a couple of times last September and plan to again in May when I return.

When I used to stay at the Majestic, I would use a laundry on a sub-soi off of Soi 3, two minutes walk from the Majestic. Very, very reliable, cheap and very friendly service. It is a family operation.

When I finally got the nerve to go and ask the girl who works there to go see a movie with me, she didn't work there anymore.

Don't know the name, but to get there from the corner of Soi 3 and Sukhumvit, walk on Soi 3 to the first sub-soi, turn right and go to just before another sub-soi and it will be on your right, just before the arab restaurant.

I stayed in Majestic Suites last December. I left my shirt for dry cleaning at the hotel and they charged me something like 65-70 Baht for that. They did a very good job but I am just curious, what is the 'normal' price for this in a laundry?

Mr Alan
Dry cleaning? What was the shirt made of that you wanted it dry cleaned instead of laundered?

Many small laundries don't do dry cleaning.

It is a Ralph Lauren (Polo) shirt which I bought in Sydney so I thought spending 2 dollars for dry cleaning might be worth it!

Little bit off topic, but having seen the prices in BKK, I have decided not to buy any more clothes anywhere except in Thailand!

While having a hair cut in barbers shop up Soi 4, seen lots of lads dropping off/collecting washing right there at the cash desk.

So out of Majestic go left, left again at police post into Soi 4, walk passed the beer bars 'I know its hard' Pass NEP and Dynasty Inn hotel. The barber shop is between a girlie bar and Chequers bar. How good it is ?????
I always get mine done in the Majestic or Rembrandt.

UKP.
