Guys,
My countdown to BKK is approaching fast (already bought the ticket so theres no turning back!)
What I want to do is to engage the services of a lady to serve as a combination guide/companion, wink-wink.
Right now my safest (read:expensive) bet appears to be one of the escort agencies I read in the forums. From the prices quoted, the best deal I can get is around 7,500 baht for 24hrs.
Does anyone have any alternatives they can suggest? I know for a fact most of you dont have much an opinion to the escort agencies.
Im totally new to the city, you see although Im quite at home in HK or Singapore, being asian myself (I only speak english though, so good english is very important to me).

Hell if you are thinking about paying that kind of money I would hit Soi 33. Lots of the girls there speak good english and it will cost you less then half what you would pay an Escort.
Not all are good to go so you might have to interview a few first over a drink. My Soi 33 girl took me around one day for free but no sex, well at least not that day 
Isee's idea is much cheaper then Soi 33 and would be my first choice do to it costing a lot less and no BF needed with a FL.

If you can't find a guide in the first day, I'd suggest getting information from Thailand Tourism. That way you see how the city is set up. I wouldn't spent 7,500 for 24 hours when that lasts a few days at the bars, etc.. If you talk to enough fl in Nana Plaza, etc. you should find someone who speaks good English and will be happy to show you around. I met some fl who spoke better English than the average American. Have fun.

Forget the 7,500B escort girl. Hang around for a day or two at the above listed places and you'll find yourself a tour guide/bedroom guide in no time. If you "click" with her, just tell her... "I want you to stay for X days and I'll give you XX baht." should work fine.

If the barfine is 1200, how much is a guide for LT ?
Also, I cant get a straight answer from my query in the hotel portion, can you tell me how to deal with the question of the "joiners fee" I hear Baiyoke Sky has?
Do they tack it to my bill later? Do I have to pay up front?

Not sure I understand? You mean you are OK with the 1200 BF or you want to go the FL route with no BF?
BF is 1200 and up in Soi 33 but not in Soi Cowboy or Nana then it is around 600 some beer bars 500.
If you get a guide who is a FL then no BF and how much is up to the two of you to decide.
I pay 2000 LT most of the time including go-go's and that included my Soi 33 girl who stayed with me all night and the next day till she had to go back to work at around 5 pm. I had met her several times before in her bar so she got to know me a bit first. I didn't just walk in and bf her but it can be done with success as CG just did read his FR CG hits BKK in search of temporaty replacement for Dew
I would say if you are getting a FL and paying all the bills figure around 2000 a day or less if you are talking several days. Of course it depends on how hot the girl is, how much she likes you and how much she wants the money. Other things like if she has a kid she needs to get back to or boyfriend also come in as a factor.
The problem is not getting a tour guide or if you pay 1000 or 2500 a day. The trick is to find one you want to spend that much time with. I would rather pay 2500 for someone I really wanted to spend a few days with then just trying to find the cheapest. You might want to first take her LT and if you hit it off the first night then the next day propose something longer (kind of like a test run first). Also pay her at the end not up front!!! If you are taking her for several days you might want to pay her a small daily amount so she has some spending money and the rest at the end.
That is why everyone is telling you to take a couple days and meet a bunch of girls till you find one you click with that you want to spend time with.
As far as joiner fees just ask straight out or in an email. Just ask do you charge a joiner fee or anything extra if I bring a girl back for the night? They tack it on the bill if they charge. Always book double and just pick another hotel if they say they charge a joiner fee. To many hotels out there that don't charge to waste your money on ones that do charge IMHO. Just to be safe you might want to print out a copy of the email stating they don't charge a joiner fee and bring it with you incase they give you any hassle you can show them the email.
I don't know if Baiyoke Sky charges a joiner fee or not sorry.

PS Warning if it is your first time in BKK you run the risk of falling in love with her as some of these girls can be very good at the GFE experience. Good luck
EDIT - OK read the thread in hotels sounds like you are stuck with the Baiyoke Sky. If you can change I would if not hope you booked double and try and get an email from them stating it is OK to have guests stay overnight with you.
