Hi guys! Although I have never posted before I have used all your advice on bars girls etc - many thanks for the useful info!
I arrive in BKK for my 4th visit in 2yr and will prob stay at woraburi (although it sounds like it is not so guest friendly these days...... sure I can wing it!)
This time however I arrive with my recently seperated best friend who has never been LOS and I was wondering what you guys suggest as to making his first night one to remember and also to set the tone for our next 2wk!!!! He has an idea of course of what to expect but lets be honest guys..... you never really know until you go and the first time is the best time!

I had a "newbie" friend come to bkk with me and I told him a lot about the place and he was eager to go. While I might qualify that my friend would be an exception to the norm, bkk freaked him out and he was back at the airport trying to get a flight home in less than 24 hours of arriving. I might add that we hadn't even stepped in one gogo or beer bar in that period (maybe that was the problem - lol).
I would make sure that your "newbie" mate was "up for it" before making BIG plans on trying to overload his senses and drop him in the deep end.
Being your 4th trip, you should have a pretty good idea of where to go. Nana would be the most logical place close to your hotel - why not go there and see where the night takes you!!

Take him to see the Royal Palace; visit the Emerald Buddha; get a long-tail boat for the two of you and take him along the river and the canals to see that side of Bangkok's life. There is plenty more, but I will leave it to others to give you more ideas.
Try to complement your night activities with some more "broad" daytime activities.
This being his first trip, he may like, and would also go further in terms of "helping" Thailand, going back with an appreciation of the fact that there is more to this country that just being a destination for sex tourists.
Farangkky, I am sure you do not have such view yourself and thus would not allow your friend to go back with the wrong impression.
