(1) Before checking into your hotel and make sure its guest friendly. Some hotels have a no guest policy many of these hotels are located on Kho San road. So avoid Kho San road.
(2) Don't go to a bar recomended by a Tuk Tuk driver. The Tuk tuk driver will get a commision you will be charged extra for the commision.
(3) Avoid the upstairs bars in Patpong these are notorius rip off places.
(4) To ensure the best service. Let the girl pick you up.
Don't sit at the front and pick the pretties lady. She might turn out to be a starfish or a runner. The best girls will french kiss with you or rub there hands over your croch in the bar.
(5) If there are certain things you really want her to do
such as oral sex you have to discuss it up front. Not all women will perform oral sex and some won't french kiss with you.

I'm at a bit of a loss here, Bomphewy. Here you are setting out the useful tips for the newbies as if you're an old hand, but then also beginning a thread in the Misc. Girls section asking how to spot a runner and what to do about it?
Although all this stuff about how to go about mongering is explained in the Newbies section in various threads, admittedly it is useful to have it all in one place like this.
But either you just read it all in the various threads and this is a precis of the collective knowledge, or else you have gleaned this information from experience, in which case, you'd know how to spot a runner, wouldn't you?

What is this stuff about second floor patpong places being a rip-off. I went to Queens Castle II on Friday night. No cover charge, great shows, complete nudity, girls sitting on guys laps and at least one handjob being done that I could see, and no hassle at all.
Two beers and two red wines for around 450 baht.
I'm told that there are two rules to these places:
1) Don't follow a tout in. Then you will get charged the entry fee.
2) Stick with those run by Kings Group.
It's not something I'd want to go to everyday, but it was fun to experience it.
We then went to one of the gay bars in Patpong.. good grief. If full on nudity, anal sex and blow jobs are ok in the gay bars, why not in normal bars?

The only time I have ever been ripped off in a Go-go bar (that I know of) was in Kings Castle something or other (so long ago; I know the location but not the number) when the bill was padded so much that it was embarrassing. So I have never been back. And I rarely go to Patpong as a result (and then only to Music Cafe or Lucifers).
I have been out of my skull in Cowboy and Nana and have not been ripped off.
