First, let me describe myself. I'm tall, tad bit overweight (but my height hides it), under 30, unfortunately balding (but got used to that a long time ago), and no bad looking. I'm no Adonis but I'm far from Quasimodo too.
But, of course, I'm a farang in BKK so I'm "handsome man". Well, in some places of BKK anyway. If I were hanging out in bars on Sukhumvit, I'd be getting my ego (among other things) stroked regularly. These girls are paid to bullshit you into thinking that you are a sex god. I don't buy the bullshit and never did.
But I don't live anywhere near those bars and rarely go to them. So my encounters with "handsome man" comments are very rare. Sure I get a lot of looks from ignorant Thais all the time... but they're just curious.
Something very weird has been going on the past 2 or 3 days. Just wondering what you guys think.
In the everyday running of my life, in the past couple of days, I've run across numerous absolutely stunning non-BG TG's. That, in itself, is not unusal. There are tons of beautiful women here. However, what is strange is their reaction to me. Seductive smiles, flashing eyes, a wink or two, etc. The way they are looking at me, I know that I could be just a few words away from having their panties on the floor.
Woman lives on the 7th floor of my building. Isan, short, amazing ass, nice tits, super sexy. I see her around all the time and we're friendly. But yesterday in the elevator, she's staring at me... looking me up and down and licking her lips (like I'm the main course).
Woman working in a beauty clinic on the corner of my soi. Absolutely gorgeous. Perhaps the most beautiful Thai women I've ever seen. I'm walking past the clinic yesterday on my way home from work. She just happens to be looking out the window. She sees me, I see her. Her eyes go wide and a big smile breaks on my face. I just stand there looking at her (she's so beautiful I want to burn her image in my memory) for about 10 seconds. She starts to laugh. I walk away wondering what the f*** is going on.
Same day at my work (I'm a teacher). Two Thai teachers at the school are staring at me every time I turn around... whispering to each other, giggling like little girls.
And the list goes on. Today, same kind of thing going on.
I'm feeling a bit weirded out. What happened? Did I suddenly overnight get handsome and sexy (and rich-looking, I guess) ? Was this kind of thing always happening and I simply never realized before? Did I say my prayers extra careful and now God is throwing horny women at me left, right and center? Or (most likely) I've been in the hot Thailand sun too long and my brain is baked... resulting in hallucinations?
Strange, strange place Bangkok is.

All women, especially in LOS, appreciate financial stability. For those in P4P business, their outlook is short term, and for more traditional TG's, they are looking for long term financial stability. They also like tall guys, because they assume the parts that they can't see are porportional to your hieght.

My 2 cents worth from Psychology 101 is that you have decided consciously or otherwise that you are not happy in a current relationship and what you are seeing is the response to the "signals" that you are now sending out.
If it were otherwise these women could be dancing naked covered in baby oil and you still would not even notice them.
Okay okay..semi-naked and covered in peanut oil..but you get the idea....

I think that Minder is close to the mark here. For whatever reason, your antenna is working better and you are more receptive to the signals that they are sending out. Initially they are looking you up and down because as a Farang, you are still unusual. You have been attuned to noticing this and your sub-conscious interest in their attention has possibly been picked up by them in return. Once you noticed this the first time and maybe the second time too, you started to look for it. Staring at that Beauty Parlour girl was a blatant sexual challenge to her, that's why she laughed, having acknowledged it.
65% of communication is non-verbal. I run my own Company in Advertising sales, so have to be able to read body language. Buy a book about it by an Ozzie called Alan Pease, or there is lots about it online. Men are lousy at reading body language, but women have a 6th sense about it. Once you've read about it, you'll know more accurately how to interpret these situations and whether you indeed do have the panties on the floor scenario in prospect.
In my past trips to LOS, I've managed to put my knowledge to good use when I select a girl to take LT. Of course, the sort of body language displayed by a girl rubbing your crotch is unmistakeable  , but the more subtle stuff is the key. Those girls are great actresses, but once one is adept at reading body language, one can see through the smokescreen.
