Hey bro, I responded to your similar question about gogos and gave you some info though I am not much interested in gogos. Beer bars are an entirely different thing. Beer bars are my thing.
You suggested that BBs may be time consuming and inefficient ways to meet ladies. OK if getting a lady as fast as possible without having time to get to know her is what you are after then a massage place would seem the best option for you....below that is the gogo with its blasting music which is quite detrimantal to coversation.
If you would liek to get to know her a bit and relax...BBs may be your thing.
If you are having a hard time getting a lot of attention in beer bars there may be an issue. Can you describe what you look like or what your demeanor is like? The reason I ask is cuz there can be an issue with the way you carry yourself that may be off putting with the ladies. If you do not appear to be a fun loving up beat kind of person or you look like a psycho you will for obvious reasons get less attention.

Now assuming you are at least a decent looking guy....dont have that psycho type stare or general vibe about you....lets continue.
I have never personally had any issue travelling any BBs in LOS by myself especially not the Pattaya BBs which are my primary stomping grounds. I guess there could be an issue being by yourself if you are shy. I assure you there is no reason to be shy....you are the king when in an LOS BB. I usually have a Falang friend with me when I am out cruising and to have someone to feed off of as far as striking up conversations etc can be helpful. If you are alone...strike up a conversation with the Falang next to you..Voila!! You are no longer alone anyway!
A note about BBs vs Gogos. I will mention some gross gerneralizations here but of course things always vary from person to person regardless of where they work.
Gogo ladies CAN generally be a bit more attractive but since these ladies are more comfortable getting up ona stage and sometimes naked in front of crowds you will tend to get more jaded types of ladies. You know...more professionally whorish. They tend to think of themselves as better looking and can be full of themselves...and if you get one that is a "Show Star" forget it...they will be more interrested in themselves than pleasing you in the long run. Gogos being enclosed buildings and the nature of the place lends itself more easily to groping the ladies...if you are into that.
BB ladies can tand to be less attractive but that is the fun of it...you have to seek out them diamonds in the rough. Well worth it IMHO. These ladies tend to have nicer more giving personalities and will be more interested in making certain you are happy. Many bros will disagree and argue this general point but like I said this is my general impression...but just that...a generalization. I look for my ladies almost exclusively in BBs. BBs being more often outdoors and the more normal nature of the ladies does NOT lend itself to groping.
SO back to the actual BB experience. You can have the same problem with leeches you get in gogos and the same rules apply...shake off the one you dont and wave over the one you might like.
I immediately offer to buy her a drink...then the fun begins.Because the music tends to be a lot less blasting the whole point of a BB is to have conversation and fun with these ladies. The whole experience is much more akin to picking up a waitress at a bar.
She will ask you all the regular questions Where you fwum?.What yoo name?..etc..I usually ask them the same questions right back and just chat away. Be prepared to joke with these ladies....play the various games they have Jenga etc and enjoy. BBs are where you can somewhat get to know the lady before you take her with you. If you are feeling generous you can buy her friend a drink too. You can chat with two ladies..play drinking games....it is only limited by your creativity. Play a guess your age game....have a thumb war....arm wrestle (and lose dramatically)...whatever. If you are fun...it wont matter whether you are by yourself or with someone else.
Stop at many BBs and do this throughout the day and keep going it is a fun way to spend your time. If you are not having a lot of fun at a BB get moving on to another one...there are literally thousands of bars with ladies. Eventually you will find one here and there that will "click" with you (It is an absolutely inevitable thing) take her with you and off you go to Sanookville. (Ask her where that is..she will be glad to take you there)
Before you know it you will have BBs full of ladies that will remember you when ever you walk by and will be happy to see you. BE a lot of fun and you will have it returned 10X.

Not sure if I can make finding ladies "efficient" per se in BBs but IMHO it is the best way to find one that will touch you in all the right places....heart AND bodywise.

My lazy way is not as good but can work. I am a black hearted chap with a mean streak, so I do not mind walking slowly by or even into a beer bar area and trawling. I mean, looking at the girls to find that diamond because there is a lot of rough.
I also like a bar with a bit of spirit, noise, lively atmosphere. I don't wanna sit on second road watching the traffic jam.

I am insulted, I am not a 22 YO handsome player (pushing 50 actually) and I do not have problems getting a pretty companion in any country I have travelled in.
It is not a question of how young, rich, or nice you look; it is all about attitude. If you read Cyborg's response carefully you would pick up on this.
To simplify his answer:
1. Dress neatly (even in t-shirt and shorts you can be neat and not a slob)
2. Smile and have a friendly attitude
3. Do not stake out a table by yourself but mingle and be sociable.
4. Do not be afraid to talk to the ladies (no matter how pretty they are)
5. Maintain a positive attitude even if they are not interested, who knows, they may be waiting for their sponsor.
6. Most importantly -- Have fun!! P4P is not a job, quest, or task but a game we all play, both the BGs and the Punters.

Do you look at women as if you are a psycho and scare them?? Even a milder version of this is if you merely look like a sour puss who is overly serious and definitely no fun to be around. The ladies will think you have a black heart if you dont smile and have an uptight manner about you.
DId you check out that Pattaya forum link I attached before? It goes into this whole subject in great detail...some of the most experienced bros weighed in on this subject and it is a worthwhile read for someone like yourself who is apparently having some challenges in this area.
Be neat,clean,without body odors and be friendly and you will have no problems. Relax and dont be uptight...if you are uptight you will make the ladies uptight too. If you drink then drink just enough to get loosened up a bit. Hell....if being uptight is your issue...use it... go into a BB and tell the ladies or if you prefer tell the mamasan that you are uptight. Make up some story about work too muttz etc and you need massage. Buy a round of drinks and get 4 ladies to massage you....one on your head...one on your neck one on each leg. Talk about an ice breaker...and after a few minutes of that you will no longer be uptight or keyed up or whatever.

You really cant miss in Pattaya BBs....bro...why not tell us more about yourself...looks,behaviors,mannerisms and specifics of what you have done in these BBs. That way we can get a better picture of what the issues are for you and we can advise you more precisely. So far I have been simply giving generic rule of thumb advice.
