Third trip to LOS coming up.
This time spending a few days in bkk before heading down to Pattaya.
I've booked in to the Majestic Suites. Great hotel but no driveway for limos or taxi's. The last few trips i've booked a car in advance. This seems dificult from the MS.
I am sure I am not the first person to have this problem. Is it easier to ask the doorman to flag down a cab? If so how much should the trip cost? Ask for the meter or set price? toll included or not? Or is their and easier way to arrange a limo? Any advise would be greatful.

Just stayed there and had no problem with the doorman getting me a taxi meter, tipped hon 20 baht all were happy! Cost around 300 baht

Taxi will cost about 1K plus tolls. Bus leaves from Eakamia (s) bus station every 30 minutes, station is real close to hotel. This works well and cost 95 baht bus does have AC. Easy to catch baht bus from bus station in Pattaya to your hotel.

Other option, The Dynasty Inn around the corner soi 4 operate a minibus service to Pattaya, you have to book
a couple hundred baht forgot the exact figure.

You have to book and prepay for 2 nights at either the Dynasty Inn (soi 13) or the Dynasty resort in Pattaya for the Dynasty free minibus transfer. You can also arrange a minibus transfer to Pattaya at the Nana hotel travel desk, both places just right around the corner from the Majestic.

I always ask the bellboy there to arrange a taxi to Pattaya.
Think last time it cost me 1200 bht, decent car and he does carry your suitcase to the petrol station on the corner where the car waits. As i'm a lazy f***er in that heat, it's all good.

flag down any taxi. ask if the driver wants to use the meter to pty. minivans are design for small thais, so if you are the same size, why not try the minivans. pay more than the govt bus and get a worse service.

I took the bus to/from Pattaya via Ekamai last month. The charge is 100 baht per seat and the bus is air conditioned.
The trip takes a little over two hours depending on how many times the non-stop bus stops for passengers.

i did the same as 5dolla, the doorman jumped on his mobile and within 10 minutes we had a car picking us up, 1200bht including tolls, slipped the doorman 100bht for organising it as we were too hungover to do anything, although that did change as soon as we hit walking street!
