You are within reasonable distance of a lot of fun places if your hotel is near the British embassy. Search the Bangkok Tonightsite (and not just the forum) to narrow down your choices. If you decide on somewhere specific, like Lolitas, just ask the front desk clerk for directions. They've heard it all before. Don't let a taxi or tuk-tuk driver talk you into going anywhere.

OK. You are within walking distance of Soi 4, Sukhumvit (1 mile).
There, you'll find the Nana Entertainment Plaza (NEP) ; girlie bars.
Lolita's is a little further along Sukhumvit. I posted the way to get there in the 'Lolita' thread.
Eden Club is down Soi 7/1; you can see it from the SkyTrain station Nana. You'll need a taxi afterwards!

Man, you do NOT want to walk to Nana, or anywhere for that matter, you'll sweat like a pig...
Any taxi cab driver will understand these words and can take you:
-Nana (seperate the 2 syllables for them Na - Na Pla - zha)
-Pat -- Pong
-Soi (Soy) Cow - Boy
That's enough to keep you sexually occupied for a few years. ALWAYS MAKE SURE THE TAXI RUNS THE METER, if not insist; " MEET - TAH, COP !" Usually not a problem if the hotel hails the taxo for you.
Save Patpong for last or go with someone, it is the most likely place to get taken advantage of because you're a newbie.
