Will be spending a few days in BKK before heading down to Pattaya for a week.
I will do the usual NEP and Cowboy. A part from Soi 33 (which by all accounts is a little pricey), where is the best beer bar area worth spending an evening in BKK?

Hi Cool Dude
I've just returned from BKK.
Don't know if you've been there before, but you could try Soi 7/1 (its 7 followed by a small 1), off Sukhumvit.
Its quite a small street, probably about 12 -14 bars - its almost a cul-de-sac. There are both Thai, Aussie and Britsh owned/managed bars. the 'Down Under' (Aussie bar!!) is very friendly, have a screen there for most of the international sports. The Boo Sa bar is on the right hand side about 6 bars down, run by an English guy Andrew - very friendly, past "World Inn Hotel (about a 2 star hotel £10 per night - but perhaps a bit too near the action if you want a quiet night!!) There are a few bars with 1 or 2 pool tables. On the right hand side just before World Inn I think, is the infamous "Eden Bar" where you MUST take 2 girls!!
Many of the bars have verandas outside and some of the girls will beckon you in initially, but the scene is actually very friendly and once in a bar the atmosphere is welcoming - not as in your face as Nana Plaza or Soi Cowboy - Good Luck Rick from England

Eden Club: the best place in town.
You can take away singles after 10 pm. Well worth it.

The Queen's Park Complex is worth a look; on Soi 22. Washington Square in the same area.

Looks like Dotcom was bein' very polite actually. The last two lines of Dotties post were (most likely) directed at the Moderators, not you.

For a change of pace try the BB complex at ?soi 1. Mid afternoon--found a little 8-9. Played pool with the whole bar--went for a 1500 bt LT with a screamer. Back to hotel first then some soi 33 Happy hour. Country road for pool and back to Swiss G for the rest of the night
