I was after reading some in the BG locator section wondering about something: Is the bargirls changing names? I mean they have their Thai name and family name, but often they call them self something like: Lek Gik Malee Pong Joy and so on, but when they stopp working somewhere or stop working would they change their names (the makeup names) ?

even the non-P4P gals will change their names, if they're wishing to stay away from someone
I had a GIK in Rayong that changed her nicname to Beer, but her entire family only called her Goong
it was nice that nicname, because I so like to "Gin Beer"

A very high percentage of girls that work in bars will use a nickname there that they are not known as, at outside that environment.

IME, virtually all use nicknames.
the real names are often hard for falangs to pronounce or remember plus nicknames afford a little more anonymity.
many girls also change their nom de guerre as they move from bar to bar. I know several who have done this.

Agree with LY. It's not only P4P girls. And they not only change them but can have 2 at the same time. I know a girl who is Fon and Fah depending on who she is with, and another who is both Da and Ae.
Regard them very much as nicknames and being interchangeable.

Funny that....she was the example I was going to use, but I'd still doubt it's the same girl...if it was she's the one girl I actually miss in BKK...give her back....555...I met a Nan the other day who when I answered her phone I was asked "Where is Neung?"...Neung, Nan....all the same, I usually find the nicknames start with the same letter.
All Thai girls have nicknames, it's not common for thenm to ever tell their real name and surnames even in business are not gien up freely.

A girl I'm seeing (not a hooker) nickname is Kae but it's pronounced Gay, rising as if you're asking a question and stretched out a bit. I had trouble saying this so I asked if I could change her name, she didn't mind at all. I asked her I could just call her Oi as a joke, she said that was fine. I can't wait to say "Oi, suck my cock". I was reading a magazine in Ko Chang that said the Thai's change their nicknames as often as they like, one kid had called himself Beckham because he liked football.

Some change Nic/Nik/Nok names as often as they change sponsors for many reasons.
I have witnessed it. When I have intruduced a BG I know (or maybe I thought I knew) to a friends TGF, she used a different name.
When questioned later, her answer was something like " why she need my real name? I not know her real name!"
So what chance has a total stranger got of getting the real name?
Unless it's written on a Western Union Transfer slip or its her actual bank information.
Off the subject here but:
I had one girl give me her Hair Salon name card and on the back was her personal bank details. I said WTF! She simply said "in case you want send me money"! I nearly chocked on my beer...ROTFLMFAO.
Consider it a sort of a covert dissinformation tactic. It worked well in 2nd world war between the Japs and the Yanks and it's working just as well now!
